Hello! (wave)
My name is Sveta and I am the proud slave of 3 ferrets, and also a proud owner of one boyfriend Dima (who brought ferrets into my life)
He bought Zack and Miri together when Miri was about a year and Zack was 6 months. Miri was very calm and mellow and Zack was a ball of energy and playfulness, and it was obvious that he was annoying Miri to the best of his abilities. So after first thinking of buying only Zack, Dima decided that Miri can't be rid of that nuisance so easily. Miri was taken home as well.
Zack
Now Zack has calmed down to become the most gentle ferret I've ever met. The two are bonded and excellent friends. Miri is currently 5 and Zack is 4 and a half. One has adrenal the other insulinoma respectively, but they are still active and coping with their ailments well.
Miri and blurry Zack
Then the addition of Honey came as a surprise. It started out as a simple trip to the pet store for some litter pellets. But in the back corner there was a cage with Honey in it. She was very fat! A huge girl ferret (presented as a boy). So naturally I asked to hold her, and the lady at the store started warning me about this one, because she bit a lot and was very feisty. I held her anyway, and this was one vicious ferret! She bit my face, and all my hands to blood, and wiggled like madness! I couldn't let her go and stayed around at the store for 2 hours just holding her and playing.
The curious thing was when we brought our ferrets to introduce to her, they got along immediately (No hissing or screaming or fighting). Then I was supposed to go home and think on it overnight, but I came home and made her a sleeping place and just couldn't stop pacing anxious to have her with me. So we had to get her that same evening.
Honey on her first day home with me
After 3 months now she doesn't bite family anymore at all (only play nips, but you can't even feel those). She is still wary of strangers but so much better than before! She lost all the extra weight, we worried at first but then with the amount of crazy running that Honey did for hours it was no wonder. She is about 2 and a half years old at the moment (her whole life before at a store poor thing).
Honey now with Miri making derpy face
