So I made the starter soup. I think I messed it up because I used chicken wings, ribs, and thighs as the meat. this means all the bone was ground up with it. It ended up really thick even putting 1/2 cup of water in it. I have been giving it to my 3 older ferrets. Cassia took to it right away, she will eat it from my finger. Koufos also took to it, he will eat it from my finger as well Hammie on the other hand, refuses to eat it. acts like I am putting poison on his lips. He even retches if I do manage to get it in his mouth. here is a pic of how my soup turned out. It is smooth like mousse, even with all that bone in it.

This morning I tried to give Hammie more of the soup. He was not having it. He wanted his old soup (Carnivore care and archetype) so I made his normal soup and before I gave it to him I mixed it 50-50 with the starter soup. He happily lapped it up... He never even knew. LOL
I think it may be the temperature or the texture he does not like.

I sure that is the case. He has always liked it really watery. milk consistency. If I made it just a bit thicker he would lap at it for a few licks and run off. This time it was thicker than that and he still ate a 2.5 ounce bowl.

I have found that those that don't like the thick pasty type soupy often like and eat chunks better. Nothing is guaranteed in ferrets but it's something I've noted ciao
