He's not had the kibble out of his diet for very long, and some seem to get sleepy for a couple of weeks when that happens for some reason. Some of mine did, but not all. It's almost like they go through a type of withdrawl from the carbs. I'd just keep an eye on him, and see if he perks up in a week or so. If not, take him in for an exam.

Thanks Sherry!
Now i can stop worrying lol. I'll get some fattier meats and see if perhaps that helps while he adjusts to the new diet. One final thing, should I feed hearts in the same manner as liver, or should he get as many (on heart day) as he'll eat?

Hi again Seems like all is well again. I was away last night and when i got home this morning i let my guy out and he just about exploded with dances. Seems like his energy is back and then some. Currently he's chomping away at a pork rib tip. I'll try and post some pics when i can get my phone to cooperate with my computer His little jaws must be getting stronger because hes begun making quick work of the bigger chicken leg bones, and chicken wings are gone in a flash . Hes also gaining some weight, which makes me very happy because he seemed to have lost a ton with the transition into spring. To follow up on the change in temperament, im not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but he seems a lot more "with it". He has always been fairly good-natured (although a wicked biter at first, i got him from a woman who left him in a cage pretty much all the time for a year) but he seems much more interested in playing with all of the people in the house. His litter box habits outside of the cage have also gotten WAY better over the past week, although that could be just a matter of time passing. Id like to think its from the switch tho Anyway, overall i think the transition has been a success!! My boy feels better, smells less (WAYYY less, i know that's common but i didn't predict how dramatic the change would be, or rapid), and poops less. Hooray!

What great news!!
Just yesterday, bf and I were snuggling on Pixie. Bf said "do you think Pixie got into something? She smells like grapes..."
Just one of the many benefits of raw - grapey ferrets!!
Glad you're reaping the benefits of a raw diet!
