Well, they ate it. I'm about to feed them their "last call" meal and plan to double the number of pieces. It might be easier to camouflage the bits this time, as I'm thawing frozen ground this time instead of dried/reconstituted. Thanks for the guidance Sherry and Katt. The boys sure are feisty tonite!

LMAO! I watched them this morning. They'd get to a piece of chicken and they'd start chewing really fast while tilting their heads back and forth. Tonite, I'm adding about the same amount of chicken, but its cut slightly larger.

Keep it up! That's great that they are chewing the pieces. As you start to increase the number of chunks, also work on slowly decreasing the amount of soup.

Step back and reboot. I figured I'd either go with the same amount and larger chunks or larger amount and same size chunks. I "largered" the chunks and they won't eat 'em. I'll have to go back a size and just use more of 'em.

They ate ALL their food this morning (pheasant) and I put some chickey/salmon freeze dried in and that ate half that too! Hungry little buggers. I've got more diced chicken to stir in for dinner tonight. Last time, they ate until they got to the chunks, picked them up, put them down beside the bowl, and kept eating. lol

That ornery little sh*t! I was eating a cookie. I do NOT make it a habit of sharing my food with my boys...especially if it is sweet. But he jumped up on my bed, grabbed my cookie, broke a piece off and ran away. He got crumbs in my bed too. WHY can't he be this enthusiastic about a chicken wing? Brat.

Brats Keep on keeping on! One thing I found helped mine during early stages was to grab a ferret, pop a tiny sliver in and hold them so they can't get away to hide it. Yes the first 8-10 times they spit that sliver right back out into my waiting hand but sooner or later they get pissed off enough to actually swallow it just to get away

Well, the boys cleaned the plate with their breakfast pheasant. The diced chicken smelled funny, so I threw it away instead of mixing it in. We are having a snow storm and I learned this morning when I got the new baby, that the roads suck. I'm not going anywhere I don't have to, so commercial ground it is. With regard to the baby, He doesn't understand that the CG pheasant is food and won't kill him. My older boys aren't on kibble anymore. Do I try to switch him cold turkey or give him kibble alternated with raw? He doesn't recognize the dry kibble I have either (kitten evo, natural balance, precise holistic blend) I'm thinking that if I have to teach him what to eat anyway, we might as well go right to raw, yes?

Holy crap! This is so much easier with babies! Tonight, I mixed up some freeze dried chicken/salmon with warm water as I headed out the door to the ER. I thought the baby might balk, but he dug right in and was chowing down when I left. No hesitation at all and there were two new proteins and nothing familiar!

Just got home from the ER (YAY, I can breathe again!) The baby woke up, went to the empty dish and looked at me. Now he and Avery are having an enthusiastic 4 am snack. Hope he doesn't make a habit of it. lol

Yay! Baby *loves* large chunks of turkey heart! Hissed at the big boys when they came near. At least they drank some of the juice this time. I tried scruffing and stuffing, but it just gets spit out. Uh...can you overdo heart? I just looked over and he's eaten all three portions.
