Sounds like a good plan. They are doing fine with the quail, so I will start increasing the liver tomorrow. Fantastic! I'm really pleased with how well they are doing so far. (dance) Let me know how they do with the liver!

Have you ordered from Hare Today? I was looking at their website & I'm not exactly sure about the listings. Is the "quantity" how many they have in stock?

I have not ordered from them. I would assume that is what they are referring to because when you go to order you select the quantity that you want to order and the items are listed by lbs. That is NOT how many you get. For example Beef Kidney is 2lb per "unit" ordered, and it says "Quantity 41." But I can go through and order a Quantity (Qty) of 3 Beef Kidneys to get a total of 6lb of Beef Kidney. Just click the "Buy Now" button and you'll see what I mean. How are they doing with the liver increase today?

So far so good with the liver. In fact I decided to give them heart slivers instead of grinding them & Scarlett pulled one out and ate it.
My local store is a wholesaler for Hare Today so I was try to figure out cost & amounts.
Several of my other ferrets started having digestive issues so I'm pulling beef from their diet to see if it is responsible & separating their proteins.
Locally I can get chicken: livers, hearts & gizzards plus the various hearts & livers available from Hare Today. Is there anywhere to order something other than hearts & livers?

Hare Today carries a lot of other organs. Kidney, organ mixes, etc. They also have whole ground animals (e.g. whole ground rabbit, whole ground turkey) or grinds with organs in them (beef with organs) that have some variety. I'll have to ask about other online sources, I'm not really sure. I believe there's a few more, but can't remember them off the top of my head.

Great! If the increase in liver isn't bothering them, go ahead and try increasing it a tiny bit more. If they do well with that, on to the next protein! (dance)

They are still doing fine with the liver, so I'll move them on to duck today.

The rest are doing better. They were a bit off on duck so I won't be doing a lot of it. Quail & tripe have been fine so far. Tomorrow evening I'll give them chicken.

Gew tripe - you are a brave woman! I started using it when my poodle developed IBD. It did wonders for him. The smell is puke. I try, usually unsuccessfully, not to get it on me.
