Oscar is loosing weight, he's on 1830 today. Still not much, but i'm worried he's still acting normally, he's playful as usual... hasn't touched his food over night. I put back the mince with lamb chunks, maybe it's the lamb he doesn't like, i'll try with pork today. Nyx is 990g and Baylis 770g.

For Oscar go ahead and offer something you know he likes for the next couple days and we'll see what happens with his weight and re evaluate what we should do for him. If he starts gobbling down food then we might have to back off a couple steps and go slower with him.

He is the one who usually like and eat everything. He is little glutton that is why i am worried. He has had similar phas once, few months ago. I did go back few steps, i can only offer him kibble again. We are on rabbit mince with small chunks again. I offered him chicken wings too, but he's playing with it. I left the mince in his cage during the night, this time with pork chunks, we'll see in the morning is lamb a problem.

1920g... I noticed that he likes food when it's warm. If it's cold, he won't touch it. Hasn't touched it whole night, again

Still with the rabbit mince? If he's eating that great then he's just being a bit picky, you'll have to just slowly mix in other proteins. How are the other two doing?

Other two are great. On same weight, Baylis is still stashing when she can and eat stashed meat. I'm giving them rabbit mince with pork chunks for last 2 days and some pork heart yesterday. I Put some more bones in their mince so i can follow weekly plan for meat and organs and add chunks, it it still 10% of bones in their meal. i don't think he's picky. probably just bad days, since he's eating everything and better than girls, from the beginning.

Nyx 975g Baylis 750g Oscar 1870g
i tried to give them pork chunks in their mince, 1cm big, Baylis ate a lot (even only chunks), Oscar ate but not much, and Nyx is not thrilled. She licks her mince and leave chunks in a bowl. It seems like she doesn't know how to chew, she only licks. Any suggestions?

How large are the chunks compared to her mince? Are they mixed in? There's a couple things you can try, either a real long really skinny strip of meat, or just make the chunks a bit smaller and see if you can get her to chew even just a little bit, some don't want to put the work in. There's nothing wrong with her mouth or teeth is there?

not to big. just a little bit larger than a mince, and the chunks are mixed in it. i'll try with strips, it's good idea. she has some plaque on her back teeth, but the vet said she has good teeth. i'm cleaning them with soft toothbrush cause she's still on soft food. i think she's just lazy morning weights: Nyx - 985g Baylis - 755g Oscar - 1850g

Yes some can be absolute divas when they are forced to work for a meal. Mine show up like they are starving at soup time but throw in food and meh, they'll eat it once they are hungry enough. I had stopped hooking meat to the cage out of laziness, cleaned their room out a couple days ago and found 2 stashes with 2-3 little hunks of meat I'd thought they had eaten and I'd been worrying they were getting enough because I hadn't found anything! Just wasn't checking the right places apparently and since mine just run around a bedroom they have options for stash spots.

hahahaha, luckily mine have a stash spot under the sofa and behind the big speaker in the corner of our living room, and it's not a problem to find it. just yesterday i found 7-8 pieces of chicken that Baylis stashed under the sofa, it started to smell reeeeally bad. she enjoys smelly meat! Nyx 1010g Baylis 765g Oscar 1880g i was concerned mostly about Nyx, but it seems she eats better then other two. i put some coconut oil in her mince this morning, she ate almost everything i left for Baylis and her. how often can i give her Coconut oil? every 2-3 days 1/3 of teaspoon? i forgot to put meat strips this morning (shy), but i will try in the evening, i'm sure she won't eat till then cause she ate almost 50g of mince. Baylis is a bit picky for last 2 days, she will eat pork meat and that's it. tried to give her chicken mince with chunks, but with no luck. i hooked a chicken wing on her cage, but only Oscar tried to take it and stash it. i'll try with pork rib, maybe she'll eat...

it worked with strips! at first, i thought she was choking, but at second bite, she knew exactly what she suppose to do with it. lol Nyx 1015g Balis 750g - lost her weight a little Oscar 1845g - same thing, again.. there are lots of weather changes these days, they are all so sleepy and not so active... Baylis ate piece of rabbit back. i left it in the cage during the night, just to see what will happen, this morning it was gone

Mine aren't eating a whole lot right now either, I think they are finally done with the eat everything winter phase and moving into spring a bit. Keep offering Nyx the strips then, keep her chewing and putting some effort into it and then we can make the chunks a bit thicker. Or you can see if she will make anyway headway into bone in too. I don't give coconut oil to the ferrets but that seems like an ok amount as long as her poops don't get runny. Baylis and Oscar you might have to tough love a little bit, if they eat a lot of a meat they like one day, offer a smaller amount of something they are less impressed with the next, they will hold out for the better stuff but they need to learn to try other things.
