I posted my very first topic about separation or separating ferrets and.. now that my boyfriend and I adopted both of the ferrets (we were really glad that we didn't have to separate the pair), I feel like I can finally post in the members thread! We adopted our ferrets on December 27th. Our cinnamony one is 1 year old and our lil' brown one is 10 months. They still have no names but.. they're both boys (feel free to give me name suggestions!) The cinnamon one is a lil on the fatter side.. previous owner said he liked to eat.. he's more loving and curious about my boyfriend and I more than anything.. and the lil' brown one is super hyper, likes to make the cinnamon ferret play with him whether he likes it or not, and he likes to steal and bite holes in my flip flops and tries to drag his playtime water bowl under the bed where it doesn't belong.. and he likes to poop where he's not supposed to, but we're working on that. Here's a picture of themand here's a couple pictures of my boyfriend and Iwe don't have any pictures together.. which is weird. i think we're both too occupied doing other things so we don't do any of the 'hey, lets take a picture in front of the webcam/in front of the mirror together!' we did take some x-mas photos with my family but.. those aren't posted up yet. i'll probably throw some on here later when they do get uploaded but.. i don't think it's important enough to remember. Anyways, glad to be here and glad we adopted two furrbabies!

Congratulations on your adorable new family members!
I can't help much with names...I named both of my girls after characters in science fiction shows. Kaylee (from the show Firefly) and River (from both Firefly and Doctor Who, different characters) If I had any boys they'd probably be Simon (also Firefly) and/or Igor. I don't know why Igor, just seems like a good name for a ferret. Or I'd end up naming them after comic book characters.
I'm glad you took both of them! Even if they're not deeply bonded, it's good for them to have a friend! And it's so funny to watch them playing together. Mine have been ganging up on the cat...he thinks he's a ferret too, so it gets pretty crazy. (my cat is always confused, first nobody knew he was a boy, and now he's a ferret-cat...but nowhere near as smart as the ferrets!)
My pair think their water bowl is for snorkeling. little soggy weasels. Gah.

Congrats, they are adorable! Out of curiosity- are you sure they are both males? The hyper nature of the smaller one almost sounds more like a girl. Check for "belly buttons". If both have it they are boys. If only one does, the other is a female

Also keep the flip flops up. Ferrets have a horrible penchant for eating anything rubbery and getting blockages

Yeah, I always take the flip flops away from him when I see him trying to hide it. I'll check as well once they wake up.

You just made my day! (dance) I am so happy that you took both of them. Ferrets really do bond, and when you have had them for awhile, and see them play, sleep together, take care of each other and even chatter in bed at night, you will be so glad that they are together. Love the pictures, all four of you are just adorably photogenic!
