What's the consensus on how long raw is good after it's defrosted? 3 days?
Is there a difference between raw soup and whole meats when it comes to fridge storage time?

I feed it unless it smells off to me. That goes for both soup and whole meats. Although the soup does turn faster.

Same here... I feed it to the ferrets until it starts to smell weird, then I toss it to the dogs... I know, mean furmom, but the dogs like to leave their chicken out in the sun to...I don't know...tenderize and cook a bit before eating it sometimes and if raw chicken in the hot FL sun with all of our nasty insects don't get them sick a chunk of chicken that's been in the fridge for 4 or 5 days, covered, isn't going to bother them!

Considering that dogs almost anywhere will bury their food for several days til it "ripens", I don't think you have anything to worry about ;D

no...they'll even hunt an opossum if it comes into the yard, let it sit a few days and then go back for the buffett....

I offer mine their thawed raw as long as it smells and feels good. But that doesn't stop them from managing to stash a morsel someplace for digging out days later when sufficiently "seasoned". While long ago I got over the bacterial concerns of feeding raw, I still can't bring myself to intentionally offer them tainted food.

Kim, I think the difference is that when it dries out, the bacterial count isn't as high as when it's "spoiled", or basically rotten.
