Are there any ferret safe flea repellents? I'm used to having dogs and just buying the flea meds to rub on their fur, but I don't know a whole lot about ferrets yet. I want to start taking my babies outside for walks but fleas are pretty prevalent where I live :/

revolution for kittens-- you will have to get it from vet---If you have already been to vet with ferret --u might can call in and ask for some.
This is what i just read Do not buy over the counter flea treatments for your ferret, many contain pyrethrin and numerous ferret deaths have been reported due to contact with this chemical.

On the subject of creepy crawlies... any advice regarding spiders? I'll be moving into a new home soon, large enough to give the ferrets their very own room, and while there are no signs of an infestation, there's the odd spider to be seen here and there. I've been doing a lot of reading up on natural repellents, but I'm unsure on how they would effect ferrets. Some of the tips I've come across are using mint, lavender, eucalyptus, and citronella plants, as well as citrus juice/polish (even leaves/zest soaking in water). I know essential oils are toxic to ferrets, but is soaking leaves or zest in water in the same ballpark? Any live plants I'd place out of their reach, but I'm concerned about any of the aromas possibly irritating them.

Just saw this fillerbunny, sorry. Are you in an area where the spiders are poison? If not I'd not even worry about it. As for the plants themselves, as long as they are non toxic and out of reach it won't be an issue.
