Ok, so nothing weird on x-ray, weird poops, he started eating again, then he stopped eating again. How do the poops look? Sounds like something bad is going on. He needs to go back to the vet as soon as possible. Did the vet run a cbc the first time? Checked stool for parasites? Any sores in his mouth? How does his breath smell? What color is his urine? (It should be yellow.) Did they check his blood glucose? He should be tested on a 4 hour fast. You can fo this yourself. At walgreens they sell the home blood glucose testers. Take blood from one of the toe pads. Does he respond to honey/sugar water? When he eats does he grind his teeth? Until you get him to a vet he should be eating even if you have to force feed. Sometimes if you hold them on your lap while holding the bowl of soupies they will eat. I would also put pedialyte in his water. . 1/2 pedialyte. 1/2 water. Sometimes these animals have underlying illnesses that they are not really showing signs of yet--but then they get into a stressful situation and the illnesses that they were masking before will come out in full force.

Ulcer meds is a no- he had started eating and then stopped again even after a weeks dosage
vet giving a CBC?
and no have not checked blood glucose level
I'll give the honey/sugar water a try ----- yes he did drink some of the sugar water and then turned away from it, maybe a teaspoon or so
as far as I know his urine is yellow, poop is runny yellow (due to kitten milk we are giving him)

Ulcer meds generally need to be given over a relatively long term to completely clear them so they don't flair up again. Anywhere from 3 weeks(on the short end) to about 2 months. So it's quite possible the ulcer is starting up again. And a CBC is a full blood panel, where they check a number of different things.

The ulcer meds would have responded and allowed him to start eating within a week. If you stopped giving those meds within that time and it was an ulcer, it will have activated the ulcer again. Ulcers take weeks sometimes months to heal you have to use all the medication that you were given. It actually sounds like an ulcer to me. I've dealt with many of them. I have 2 fuzzes with ulcers right now. Ulcers and adrenal go hand in hand unfortunately. Stress any kind of stress, a new fuzz, a new place, a disease will se these little ones off. ciao

I'll get back to the vet and get some more pills (4 weeks?) are there any you would suggest? Also some pictures of our fuzzies Left- Ivan, Right-Sasha Left (affectionately known as "The Lump") Dimitri and for size comparison Sasha on the right again. Dimitri is almost 6 months old

You get it in the pill? I would ask for the liquid sucralfate, it is alot easier to get in them.

I looked didnt see any sores, and no spots that may be rot on his teeth, its all pink and healthy

I had a boy, Ghenghis who actually had an ulcer in the back of his throat. Is was something I couldn't see but when he was at the vets I had scruffed him for her and she found it, when he yawned very large. Ulcers don't have to be stomach related. All the meds I've ever used were liquids ciao

I would think that if you got the liquid carafate/sucralfate it would work better. That way if he does have an ulcer in his throat it will coat it.
