IBD?

My 1 ferret poop has always been grain like and tends to be a lighter color than his brother. I was looking up IBD but its just so hard to tell if he has it or not. He will be 1 in February, hes always been chubbier than my other ferret and currently hes really chubby from his winter gain.
I was just wondering what to really do. He seems perfectly fine and healthy but his poops are just weird. Whats the treatment? and how serious is IBD? I read its fatal, if so how long does a ferret have to live if untreated with IBD.

I forgot to add... he has a gorgeous coat, a big appetite, and doesn't sleep nearly as much as his brother... (meaning hes not lethargic) and i feed him Wysong.

I lost one at the age of 4 due to uncontrolled IBD. Upon necropsy vet said he had not a trace of fat anywhere, including on his organs. So it can be VERY serious. If he has been doing this for a while, it sounds like a possible sensitivity to a protein. Can you get him some Stella & Chewey's instead of Wysong's? That way you can see if it is the chicken doing it.
