One of my first ferrets and my first to pass away. He was my sleeping buddy, always the first to jump on the bed and join me after doing his rounds and exploring the house. He was tiny and an adrenal kid, I had him for about 7 months before he passed away at the age of 6. His name means cuddle in Italian and that was exactly what he was. I only have a few picture and it breaks my heart. His buddy is Loki, and unfortunately after a rule change at are then apartment complex he and Tweak had to be given to a friend. A shame, but I didn't have the money to break lease and the new management said they had to go. Pet deposit paid and everything. But this is to Co, the bossiest, tiniest ferret I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and loving. Best Buddies: Loki is the one facing the camera, Co is determined not to look. We tried to convince him that his head was best rested on the pillow, but he was adamant otherwise! Never had a cuter pair of sleepers. Unfortunately all the other images are on a disk I cannot find. There were all taken in the first week or so we had them. I wish I could find the ones of them in the second cage we bought. Four times bigger than the one we originally were given them in! I learned a lesson though! Take tons of pictures, you will regret not having them when you have to say goodbye! Love you forever, mio Coccolino!

They were gorgeous. I'm so sorry you had your Coccolino for such a short time. No matter how long it is, it's never enough I cannot believe they were allowed to arbitrarily change the rules like that! That's terrible. And even though they changed the original rules, you'd still have had to pay to break the lease???

Never enough time for sure! Apparently, my lease allowed a clause stating that at any time they were allowed to change the rules. It was my first time renting an apartment, and being young and foolish, I never even stopped to check. They offered to refund me the half of my deposit but the boys had to go or I would be evicted. I have had some people tell me I could have fought them in court, but money did not allow for such a think. Tweak and Loki ended up going to a good friend and I still see them often, but it was heart breaking.

I'm sorry that you had to give your special sweeties away, and that you lost little Coccolo. What a sweetie! He knows you did only what you had to, so don't worry about that. <3 Dook in peace!

So handsome... I'm so sorry for your loss, but find comfort in knowing that he's not alone, that as he walks the path to the Bridge, that Chewie and Rena are there to keep him company... This past month has been so hard on us here at HFF....
