Good! Let me know when you get some new meats and how they like them. Do you know about when you want to try to introduce rabbit? You said the rabbit has to grow a bit still correct?

When I go shopping this week I'll look for turkey or that other bird, I don't remember what you called it. The little ones. I can probably find some lamb in the freezer some where, just have to look. The rabbit, I'm getting this week, and I'll breed them once I get her (she's already 10 months old)The rabbits will be here about a month later' then about 2-3 months after that. So it'll be awhile. My best bet at this point is just to shoot a wild one a freeze it for 3 weeks.

Then later when you get some rabbits I can work with you on that if you need/want help - I suspect you will have graduated the mentoring program by then since you are already so close. We can always reopen the thread though.

So I found some lamb chops in the freezer (dance) I put some in the bowl, they sampled some and fell asleep. They go up then lay back down, sampling a little piece time.

Are they actually eating it or are they just playing with it/tasting it? Sometimes ferrets will smack the meat but never swallow it, so when introducing new foods make sure they are actually eating it. That is great they are tasting it on their own. You can always hand feed a sliver too. So now they have lamb, pork, chicken, beef correct? Are you able to access any organs other than liver? Kidney and brain are good ones. Uterus, pancreas, and spleen, are good too.

There actually eatting it. I counted 5 peices before and now there are 2 peices. I keep the top level of the ferret nation closed when to eat, so they don't stash food where the litter boxes are.
I haven't went to the store yet.

Good fuzzers! They are doing so well, I'm glad. No worries, let me know when you do and if/what new meats you try. In the meanwhile, could you post an updated menu now that they are getting more bone so I can recheck your balance?

Sure. There getting chicken, steak, lamb, pork & gizzards.
Right now, we have to go to this recognization thing, and I won't be able to go shopping for organs unless they have stuff at Wal-Mart. If it isn't to late, were gonna stop and get gizzard, since I'm running low.
My dad said that gizzard is organ so that should be fine. Is that true?

No, gizzard is a muscle meat, it is comprised of muscle tissue. Organs are hormone producing tissues - liver, kidney, brain, pancreas, spleen, uterus, and technically stomach though stomach is lower in nutrients than the others I just listed. It is very important that they have heart and organs, they will get serious nutrition deficiencies without the proper amount of heart and organs. They will be okay for a short period but definitely get more as soon as you can. If you have freezer space it is best to buy in bulk and stock up so you don't have to worry about running out of things. As for menu, I meal a full weekly menu. Sun-Sat with am and pm meals.
