October's theme is brought to us by Hurricanekatt. This month's theme is Bonded Buddies. Please, no gluing your ferrets together for a photo shoot.

Koda and Kenai as very bonded. I didn't realize just how bonded they were until Koda's blockage surgery last year. The stress of the ordeal and the separation caused Kenai to get a stress ulcer that slowed his digestion down (or the digestion slowed down from stress and caused the ulcer, we weren't really sure which) and he started showing symptoms of a blockage (his stomach was blocked by rancid food due to the ulcer/slowed digestion). After his emergency surgery, they were again separated. Koda started to vomit and poop blood, and Kenai was not recovering well from his surgery. We put them back together and Koda's vomiting and poop problems stopped completely, and Kenai suddenly started recovering very quickly. Before then I had no clue just how bonded they were. They love to snuggle, sleep, wrestle, and play together. Here they are on a walk outside last week.

My very best boys Mickey and Jimmy. They were bonded since the day they met. Jimmy was deaf and never had a friend in all of his 4 years. He was waiting for Mickey to come into his life. 4 years is a long time to wait, but it was totally worth it! Mickey cuddled him every day and night until his last night...and that night Mickey never left his side. I'm sure Mickey still misses his friend.

That was Ruth a blue healer. She was raised as a ferret at first. She ate played and slept with the ferrets till she got too big to go into the tubes and hammocks and outgrew the cage. She was very protective of the ferrets. She kept away the owls hawks and snakes and other predators when they were out playing and hunting

well yeah i meant ferrets and other animals lol As long as it sticks to the theme, and includes ferrets yes. But remember the theme is BONDED buddies (emphasis on the bonded part). Rambo's situation with her pup being bonded to the ferrets is pretty unique, not very common.
