hey! i have two lovely playful 10 week hob kits that i feed a high protein kibble 'james wellbeloved' (its the best i can get over here in london) which stays in their cage all the time and is replaced or topped up when needed and then i feed them 1 raw chicken leg split between them both in the evening. sometimes they'll eat it all or sometimes after eating some they'll hide it and eat it late but either way come the morning there is no meat left i planned to eventually start feeding them whole raw chicken legs each but should i be feeding them this amount already? and if not, at what time/age should i start? i will also be introducing chicken heart and liver maybe once or twice a week to make sure they're getting that little bit extra of what they need. This diet is all quite new to them, i got my two boys off a breeder when they were 8 weeks and she told me she was feeding them bits of cooked chicken and cat food!

Now is the time to start offering little bits of everything. Kits haven't bonded to their food yet. Just make sure that you pick up the kibble, a few hours before. Kibble and raw too close together, will cause upset tummies. If they are in a cage at night, you can always leave a chicken wing or thigh in there, in place of the kibble. Crack the bone with a mallet or cleaver, to make eating it easier. You can offer them some egg, soft scrambled or raw. My baby Mika eats like crazy, and everything that I offer her gets gobbled down. You will want to do some reading to understand the basics of what you offer, and make sure that all their nutritional needs get met. Are you new to ferrets?

Slice deeply into the meat, tie it off to something, and let them have at it! And ditch that kibble for them Completely defeats the purpose of a raw diet which is to help them be healthier. However- you cannot simply toss them some drumsticks, a couple hearts and liver and call it a day. You have to balance their diet to prevent deficiencies. Follow this basic menu plan and ask tons of questions! holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/146/meat-bone-organ-weekly-menu
