It sounds to me like a dog sniffing very excitedly or when they make a noise like this when there panting(I think it happens when saliva and air bubbles and there mouth all come together so it makes a noise I don't know. It happens a lot with Bulldogs and French Bulldogs and breeds like that. ) except a lot softer. And thanks Sherry I've been looking for some videos or audio of ferret noises and now I have one of them laughing/huffing.
This is why my 4 laugh on the stairs (now that I know what the fissy hissing is all about), just like in the video! Do I have the only ferrets who go bonkers when I open the door to the basement? The basement is their special, mostly off limits, place to play. Too funny.
Lol Haggis is a laughing ferret - he does it when eating, getting his tummy tickled and when I play with him with tea towels. He dooks when he wants to play with another ferret and they are not paying attention then he will generally sit on that ferret - he's the pig brauney one out of the three Neeps laughs when eating his favourite treat - duck fat, he also closes his eyes in contentment Only heard him dook a couple of times the first day he met Tatties and was all excited. When Tatties met Haggis they both sniffed, laughed and dooked like they were talking the Haggis spent most of his time scruffing Tatties and sitting on him lol.
They have been all together since Sunday night, Tatties has settled in well with them I am sure they plot things to get up too when I am not looking lol then they look all sweet and innocent. Tatties and I are getting to know one another but he seems quick to learn and is pretty bright.
So I have Laughing brauny Haggis, laid back cuddly Neeps and feisty fast Tatties
Nestle does that all the time. I thought it was just weird hissing. Although she does hiss too I think, and dooks a lot. She also squeaks if her and snowy are running around and he catches her. She's a noisy little one
Charlie did this all the time when I was playing with him but then he got really rough with me with his biting. He thought it was funny. He would do it when he got really excited with play. Now he dooks all the time, especially for the last 4 days! Like crazy dookingwhen im petting/lightly scratching his body. And lots of kisses!
