Good sounds really good, I still would like to see less necks in the mix and another meal of hearts added, are they eating the liver and kidney? Can you get giblet packs with turkey at all?

I would like to see less necks too but it's the easiest thing to get and seems to be one of the few bone in meals they can actually crunch through at the moment. Just curious, why do they need another heart meal? The liver and kidney is the meal they have a love for. The other meals they eat, they have only roughly 60grams but their liver and kidney is mixed up and they'll eat about 130grams! Little piggies. No I haven't ever seen giblet packs with turkey in it here unfortunately

That's awesome that they love organs, some can be pretty picky. The hearts I would add in simply because you have a lot of bone content and a lot of white meat, taurine is important and best found in darker meats like hearts. Most fuzz take them well too. It's good that they eating the necks though, mine are lazy and won't touch them.

The two of them go ballistic for organs it's gotta be their favourite meal of the week. Ahk cool, I'll add another heart meal into their menu. Wow, really? I know Zoey wouldn't touch them for ages. We figured out that we had to play tug of war using them with her to stimulate her to try and chomp through them, that always made dinner time fun

Wow I have no idea why that posted 3 times o.O sorry bout that. Zoey seemed a bit down last night. Didn't want to play, or even sniff around. I put her on the floor and she immediately went in the wardrobe and went to sleep :/

Keep a close eye on her, make sure she is eating and drinking, sometimes they do act off for no reason but you just never know with ferrets, better safe than sorry.

That's good. Are you sure of their ages? Just curious as sometimes people sell animals as younger than they are, 2 year olds shouldn't be insulinomic but that kind of behavior in an older ferret would have me concerned. But maybe she was just worn out for some reason.

Yep we are sure of their ages. The lady we got them from had bred their mother, intending to use them for breeding but they weren't good mothers. I hope they don't become insulinomic, but I'm expecting it as they were on kibble for the first 2.5 years of their life :/ she was probably worn out from running around the night before, and it was quite warm yesterday.

Heat can definitely do it, mine will act half dead if it's a bit warm, makes me glad I live in a cold climate so it's not much of an issue.

Haha you're lucky. Living in Australia can have its downfalls when you have pets that are susceptible to over heating easy

Clover 852g Roughly eating 70g between the two per meal, still varying on the type of meal. They've had a couple of eggs in the last week, a they've had quite a few hair balls (shedding )x ) Due to the higher intake of eggs both girls have had quite runny and orange poops for a few days, but other than that, their stools have been quite normal. Haven't seen any green or other runny poops in the boxes Clover's been running around as normal, if not more than usual. Their menu this week has been: Mon- chicken necks, liver and kidney Tues- turkey necks, chicken carcass Wed- chicken necks, lamb chunks Thurs- chicken feet, beef heart Fri- chicken necks, chicken carcass Sat- chicken giblets, mice Sun- chicken necks, beef chunks Zoey 734g Again, 70g between them Has also had a lot of hair balls so have had a couple of eggs as well. Her stools have been a bit runnier than Clover's, I think her system is a bit more sensitive to the sudden intake of egg, but still no greenies! Zoey has been energetic, other than that warm day she was a little down and slow on. Her menu has been the same as Clover's.

This week I plan to write out another menu, incorporating another heart meal (perhaps replace one of the meat chunks meals with it?) and replace some of the chicken neck meals with carcasses. I'm still trying to find another bone in meal source other than chicken and turkey, but everything here is so expensive :/
