However, there are some in USA. Even though some breeders will ship, you cannot get you ferret shipped in Canada via plane (due to transport Canada regulations). You will have to meet you ferret at the USA airport or travel to pick them up from a breeder. I didn't know you couldn't fly ferrets into Canada from the US.

I believe so. Not that I've tried that one. I drove across the border to get mine. Picked them up in Cleveland ciao Heather

Unfortunately, transport Canada does not allow you to fly ferrets. At the same time it's pretty easy to import them from USA. They only need a rabies certificate if over 3 month of age.
I just returned home with my two new ferrets flying from Chicago to Seattle and driving back home. At the border crossing they didn't even ask to see rabies certificates or ferrets. They just asked why we had to travel to USA to get the ferrets.
Darlene, because you live so close to USA border it's not an issue to get your ferrets shipped to Seattle. You are just a ferry ride away :-) I would rather take a ferry than driving for 3 hours :-)

If for some reason I can't get ferrets myself, she has offered to bring them up to me. Providing all her paperwork will allow her to come back into Canada and not get stranded here
