I have no idea if this is allowed or not but my local RSPCA currently has three ferrets, two jills and one hob, they came in together so they are bonded, there was originally four and as far as i know they hob is castrated, if not its their policy to castrate before re-homing anyway. Now i know its a long shot given as the majority of you lovely people live on the other side of the pond, i know there are a few who live in the UK, so i thought i'd give it a shot. I don't work for the RSPCA or anything they've been there a few months and i can't stop thinking about them. I first noticed them when i went to add a new addition to my group. I've had few rants about this branch, not because its terrible but more because most of the staff aren't familiar with ferrets and dont like handling them so they last i saw of them they were in a pretty sorry state. They are pretty friendly though, (the ferrets that is )they we climbing all over me when i was in with them, but they are bit nippy so they don't get alot of play time i should imagine with the staff. I barely have room for the four that i do now have as a result of said trip, so adding three more isn't an option and they pull on my heartstrings something rotten, i wish i could bring them home, so much so that i had to turn down a volunteering position with the branch because i knew i wasn't strong enough not to adopt all the ferrets they get >_< I know they're kibble fed, and the last i saw, their coats we're in pretty bad shape and they were pretty skinny. Obviously, they might have improved since then, i haven't been back to see because i know i couldn't leave again without adopting them.
So, i'm going to leave this little link here for anyone thinking they might what more furry babies and live somewhat local and hope that they might find a home Smile The shelter is in the Nottingham area. I wish i could adopt them, they really do have the sweetest faces and i hate the fact that someone took one away from the group Okay, im going to stop thinking about it now, heres the link
