Holy crap those last ones were big!!!!! When we have our own home again we were considering getting an iguana and turning a large closet into the habitat. BUT I don't think I'd want to deal with an ig bigger than Tito. I think when it comes to reptiles, I'll stick to snakes.

They are VERY cool, get pretty big but not as big, and are more docile. Their care and caging requirements are almost (but not quite) identical to iguanas, but they require a large pool in their cage. They eat the same greens, veggies, and fruits, but with proteins mixed in in the form of insects (wide variety) fish, and the occasional mouse pinkie/fuzzy. They still take a lot of work to socialize, but that goes for any lizard, esp the big ones. They are much less dangerous though and have overall better temperaments. With proper socialization they can be practically "cuddly." I would totally trade Tito for one if it wouldn't make me feel guilty. *Shhhhhhh don't tell Tito!*

I've looked into the water dragons and they are also very cool. I'm not going to worry about it now though, because we do NOT have room for a large lizzard. My husband had 2 igs when he was a kid. Gandalf (who was super awesome and tame) and Gandalf 2 who was apparently a total buzzard. Gandalf passed away at a young age, and Gandalf 2 went to live with my father-in-law. Not sure whatever happened to him.
