No Problem, I've been busy too. Everyone is better. I think it was the duck. after they got better I gave duck wings again Friday night, loose stools but not as bad as before, I think they were just getting use to it. I also think I over did it on the egg shells the last few days. Today everyone was really firm and dry, so I gave liver and kidney for breakfast instead of dinner to see if it would help.
Weekly update:
Buddy 2 lb 10 oz, lost 2 oz. Toro 2 lb 12 oz, no change Pedro 2 lb 4 oz, no change Penny 1 lb 13 oz, no change
Last week I fed: Sunday: 3 oz grind chicken with egg shell, 3 oz chicken wings, 3 oz liver, 3 oz kidney Monday: 3 oz grind chicken with egg shell, 3 oz CGH, 6 oz chicken gizzards Tuesday: 3 oz grind chicken with egg shell, 3 oz duck wings, 6 oz heart Wed: original soup receipe 20 oz Thurs: original soup receipe 20 oz Friday: 3 oz grind chicken with egg shell, 3 oz wing tip, 3 oz grind chicken, 3 oz duck wing Saturday: 6 oz chicken chunks, 3 oz chicken grind with egg shell, 3 oz chicken wings
No one ate the gizzards except penny, since I'm out of gizzards I not going to try again. I think the problem with the diarrhea had to do with getting use to duck wings. I changed my menu a little for next week because my animal budget was 0 this week. I used what I had on hand to work with. Let me know what you think. I have plenty more chicken thighs, chicken wings, duck wings, and CGH on hand for at least 2 more weeks so I can change it up if need be.
Monday AM: 6 oz CGH Monday PM: 6 oz chicken chunks Tuesday AM: 3 oz chicken grind with egg shell, 3 oz duck wings Tuesday PM: 6 oz beef heart Wednesday AM: 3 oz chicken grind with egg shell, 3 oz chicken wings Wednesday PM: 6 oz chicken chunks Thursday AM: 3 oz chicken grind with egg shell, 3 oz CGH Thursday PM: 6 oz beef heart Friday AM: 3 oz chicken grind with egg shell, 3 oz duck wings Friday PM: 6 oz chicken wings Saturday AM: 3 oz chicken grind with egg shell, 3 oz chinken wings Saturday PM: 6 oz chicken chunks Sunday AM: 3 oz chicken grind with egg shell, 3 oz chicken wings Sunday PM: 3 oz beef kidney, 3 oz turkey liver

She's doing well very stubborn little thing though lol Glad to hear things are going well! And yes, we'll all likely have to increase meals soon with winter coming. It's already starting to rain here and cool down a bit (just had to replace my windshield wipers this weekend haha)

Sorry, finally had a chance too look in It's looking good! Now to get more variety and you'll be off to the proverbial races And just an FYI- the duck may have caused looser stools due to the higher fat content. They will get used to it

I defrosted the wrong container and feed liver and kidney last night instead of hearts. toro ate some but everyone just snubbed their noses at it. even added oil. they were hungry they were waiting in the feeding den to eat. should I make it a grind? what other suggestions could you give?

Organs can be quite difficult for animals to enjoy alone. You might have to grind up a few meals. One idea I can think of off the top of my head would be mixing a small amount of chicken grind to the mix like we usually do when introducing a New concept to them.
If I think of more ideas I'll post them later today.

Sorry, I had a busy weekend at the ferret rescue that I volunteer at. Here is my weekly update.
Buddy 2lb 12 oz, no change. Toro 2lb 12 oz, no change. Pedro 2lb 4 oz, no change. Penny 2lb 0 oz, gained one oz.
Everyones activity has been normal. Last week I made all their meals 6 oz, They finished each and every one. I also used 30 oz of grind soup that I had in the freezer to add when they ate all their food. This week I have increased each meal to 8 oz. I am going to grind the liver and kidney together instead of feeding chunks.(They just don't eat it) Last week they also had duck eggs on sunday. They shared 2 of them.
This weeks menu: Sunday AM 4 oz grind chicken with egg shell, and 4 oz chicken wings Sunday PM 3 oz beef kidney, 3 oz turkey livers Monday AM 4 oz grind chicken with egg shell, and 4 oz CGH Monday PM 8 oz chicken chunks Tuesday AM 4 oz grind chicken with egg shell, and 4 oz duck wings Tuesday PM 6 oz beef heart Wednesday AM 4 oz grind chicken with egg shell, and 4 oz chicken wings Wednesday PM 8 oz chicken chunks Thrusday AM 4 oz grind chicken with egg shells, and 4 oz CGH Thursday PM 6 oz heart Friday AM 4 oz grind chicken with egg shells, and 4 oz duck wings Friday PM 8 oz chicken wings Saturday AM 4 oz grind chicken with egg shells, and 4 oz chicken wings Saturday PM 8 oz chicken chunks
Next week I think I am going to try a new protein. Pork? which cuts do you suggest?
Other than that just enjoying by little babies. I finished their new bedding sets and added a new feeding den. It has really helped with them not taking food all other the cage. Everyone seems to be eating chunks and bones now, again the only problem is with organ day.

Okay, looks like you have 8 bone meals, 1 organ meal, and two heart with 4 sources. So far so good. I think pork would be the perfect new addition right now. I don't know the cuts at all (I don't really eat pork ever), but anything with a decent amount of fat should be fine. I usually just grab a package of stew meat since it's already in chunks and is relatively cheap, but if your family eats pork I'm sure you could just get a larger quantity of what you eat and portion some out for the fuzz.
Another idea for the organs would be to feed two 'half' meals with an egg on top/mixed into them. This should work well especially if they really enjoy eggs. It will give really unpleasant poops, but you could always add a small pinch of eggshell on top to tighten the stool up. Hopefully while they're licking up the egg they will have a taste or accidentally eat some organs.

well, had another bad week. our air went out on Sunday. so Monday night I moved the ferrets to the rescue. I only brought food I know they would eat. then Tuesday night while I was cleaning at the rescue they were playing with the other ferrets and ate kibble and kibble soup. they went right back to raw at home. Sunday night I fed liver and kidney grind with egg shells. had to spoon feed but they all ate. last night I fed heart grind with egg shells and a duck egg. no one would eat. so all working on organs and have not tried the pork yet. tomorrow will be pork. tonight going to try the heart again. if not next week I might have to grind heart with chicken.
