Hi it sounds like you either have a bit too much fat in the diet(this will vary from ferret to ferret- it's trial and error), or you could be having a bacterial overload starting. That is a simple fix with antibiotics, and is quite normal with any stressor added into their lives whether raw or kibble fed. And a diet switch can most definitely be listed as a stressor! If the stools start to become REALLY foul smelling then you know you are dealing with a bacterial overload. Otherwise cut back a wee bit on the fat for now. The vomiting could well be from eating either too quickly, or too much in one sitting. And yes, they WILL do this if they decide they really like a protein

everyone now has diarrhea. penny is the only yellow one. as of last night only giving soup grind. its weird cause everyone is eating fine. everyone is drinking. activity is normal. I've been checking gums, all pink. scruffs fine so no dehydration at this point. this week was trying to Change from soup to just chicken grind. also was going to feed heart separate but pulled it last night. also add duck wings yesterday morning.

Okay, when you say "diarrhea", how watery is it? Reason I'm asking is because the stool of a raw fed ferret is going to be formed but wet. If it's pudding like, try upping the eggshell powder in it, or reducing the liver by half for now.

penny is the worse. actual water around seedy yellow stool. the boys it's colored water ranging from black, to brown, to green. there is no form at all except pedro normal soft one this morning. btw, they have not had kibble since the beginning of May. have not had organs at all. that's why I'm thinking virus of some sort. but no one had been sick in my house. activity is normal if not better that it had been since its getting cooler. penny has been the worse her yellow seedy started Monday night. no one is dehydrated. I'm totally stumped. I removed organs from grind and they get diarrhea?

Definitely increase the eggshell add another 1/4 tsp and if that doesn't do it, increase that extra to 1/2

Thanks Sherry I'm glad things are getting back to normal. Keep feeding the soup until everything is okay and then slowly introduce the menu foods again (you might want to start with smaller quantities for now). Let me know how things are in the morning

saw two water type stools this morning in the box from last night but still trying to get some form. I feed chicken wings with ground chicken thighs for breakfast. added extra egg shell powder. everyone just picked. no one really chowed down. put it in their cage for today. we will see how it goes.
