I am glad that he is eating. That is very important! What foods is he currently eating? We need to start working on a menu so you can be sure his diet is balanced. An unbalanced raw diet can lead to nutritional deficiencies, so it is really important.

I answered acouple day ago but I guess it didn't go through...He is eating chicken, turkey, pig and some cow chunks. Hes been being picky for some reason lately. I have not been able to work on a menu at all lately. Recently someone in my family has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer so its been hectic. I did not forget about tank at all. He just runs around the house for about 3 hours everyday while I do all my stuff and spend time with my family member. Recently its been really hard for me to go on the computer, first it was lacrosse now this. im sorry

I am sorry to hear that. How much each of organ and heart is he getting? Balance is super important, if we can just make sure he is on a balanced diet it will make sure he stays nice and healthy. He needs to be getting 1.5 meals a week of organ and 1.5 meals a week of heart. A good routine to get into is to pick 2 days (say the weekend) to be organ and heart days. So say we did the weekend... On Saturday he would ALWAYS get: am: 1/2 liver 1/2 other organ (kidney, spleen, brain, etc) pm: 1/2 liver 1/2 heart Sunday: am: heart (full meal) pm: any of his other meats. If you can make sure he is at least getting that, and that he is getting 7-9 bone-in meals a week his balance should be good.

Ok I get the hang of it...all of his meals have bone.well for now. Ive been giving him chicken wings and some pork. The pork with no bone but the chicken wings with the none and he has no problem crunching those up and choeing them down. Can I do that during the week and the example you just gave me of the organs?

His meals should not all have bone. He should have 7-9 meals a week containing edible bone. You cannot graduate the mentoring program until you post a week menu. The menu must demonstrate the proper balance and variety, and must be approved by Heather in order for you to graduate.
I stress again that part of the reason for making this menu is to ensure that you are giving the correct balance. An improperly balanced raw diet can be DANGEROUS s your ferret can end up with nutritional deficiencies. Please post a menu of what you are currently feeding.
