If you would, please post a menu using the food that you CURRENTLY have access to - not the ones on order but what they are eating right now. If it makes it easier, try to remember what they have eaten for the last week. I am going to start really making you practice the menu making as this is the biggest thing for you right now and practice makes perfect. Don't stress over it, don't panic - if the menus need tweaking we can and will adjust them. You HAVE the variety, you HAVE the bones, organs, and hearts - now you just need to practice balancing it all to pull it all together.

Wednesday- am- duck pieces pm- ground cavi Thursday- am- chicken wings pm- pork bits Friday- am- game hen pm- rabbit chunks (if need be, sometimes I chop the bird in half for am and pm) Saturday- am- bone in duck or chicken/ beef chunks pm- duck or rabbit chunks Im forgetting something I ordered, im at work so I cant check the fridge lol that's my basic idea ill add more or less depending on there poos and what you think (: Well I gave them some goats milk and they loved it BUT guess who's the one with the spray poo..marcellus * he LOVED it but I think ill only like dip a chicken piece or two in it once in a while as a little treat here and there but nothing more, maybe not at all. I wanna try kippers or sardines in water see if they like those any just as a treat. I forgot where I saw those little treat mixes people were doing, they sorta like olive oil but there not crazy about it. Idk let me know what you think, internet guy (BETTER) be here sometime this week I only called them almost a week and a half ago, then I can upload all my pics of them. (;

That menu looks fantastic! Great job! (dance)
Do the rabbit chunks have bone in them? Just curious. If they do, you may find your menu to be a tad bone heavy - their poops will tell you.
How are you feeling with balancing things?

It has been over a week and a half since you have replied. I really need you to post at LEAST once a week - preferably more. I know you are busy. I am in the middle of finals for medical school (aka super intense) and I am still taking the time to check in here. I would appreciate the same please. You are very close to graduating, we just need to make sure that you have the balance hammered down and that they are eating everything okay. I cannot do that if you do not post. If you do not post soon I will have to shut down this thread, which I would be extremely disappointed about seeing as how you are SO close to graduating. Please answer the questions from my previous post, and post another menu as per what you are CURRENTLY feeding. Thank you.

Hello, yes I know im very sorry id love to be on here everyday its just not been a good month :/
The rabbit chunks do, there whole rabbit just chopped up. There poos finally look normal!! On liver/heart/organ days I follow with ground cavi and that helps firm up the liquid poos. If there poo looks really hard I skip the bone in and give chicken breast or pork no bones in. Ive gotten this down pretty good lol
We treated them to a mouse on Friday, bubby and Marcellus caught there own!!! Im so proud quick efficient kills, no messing around except Marcellus's mouse moved a little after and I made aric make sure it was completely out and not suffering. There doing awesome these days, there back in there old cage we had to tear down the walkin closet one because of mold. Were saving up for a FN and another baby to add to the business this spring. (I get to finally have a lady ferret woo!) I have the laptop at home with internet now just need the time! finals are done and were on break until jan 21 so I can most deffinatley hop on here now tues and thurs (:
Not much change with the menu, just depends on there poo, theyre eating entire qails now, before we had to cut it in half well I thru one in there one day just to see and they DESTROYED it. Feathers galore!
Is it possible to feed them just whole prey? like whole rabbit, whole quail, half a duck, etc?

Hello, yes I know im very sorry id love to be on here everyday its just not been a good month :/Look. I am truly not trying to be mean, but it's always a bad week, a bad month... I am insanely busy, but I still take the time to come on here and check for updates regularly. I volunteer my very limited free time to do this because I enjoy helping people and helping ferrets. If you aren't going to give me the same respect of at least posting once or twice a week, I will be forced to close this thread. You are seriously almost done. At this point all that is left is to make sure the balance is right in your menu, and that you are comfortable making adjustments where necessary. That's IT! I would really, REALLY hate to close this thread after working so long and so hard and coming SO close to graduating from the program. But if you cannot take the time to post, I will have no choice as there are other people on the waiting list for a mentor. Again, I am not trying to be mean nor not-understanding, I am asking for some respect and 5 min out of your day 1-2 times a week. That's it... The rabbit chunks do, there whole rabbit just chopped up. There poos finally look normal!! On liver/heart/organ days I follow with ground cavi and that helps firm up the liquid poos. If there poo looks really hard I skip the bone in and give chicken breast or pork no bones in. Ive gotten this down pretty good lolGood. I'm glad they are doing well. (I get to finally have a lady ferret woo!) I have the laptop at home with internet now just need the time! finals are done and were on break until jan 21 so I can most deffinatley hop on here now tues and thurs (: I am glad to hear they enjoyed the mice. Whole prey is extremely good for them. Not much change with the menu, just depends on there poo, theyre eating entire qails now, before we had to cut it in half well I thru one in there one day just to see and they DESTROYED it. Is it possible to feed them just whole prey? like whole rabbit, whole quail, half a duck, etc? Yes, a whole prey diet is ideal. However, what you are talking about is not whole prey. Half a duck, chopped rabbit...these are not balanced on their own and thus do not count as whole prey. A whole quail, mouse, rat, guinea pig, etc would be considered whole prey items. You can absolutely still feed the other stuff (duck, rabbit, etc), but you need to ensure they are still getting their organs and hearts. The same rule for balance still applies, as does he 3 min proteins. So if you fed whole rat, whole mouse, whole quail, and whole guinea pig, they would have a balanced whole prey diet. IF you add in non whole-prey meats though like duck and rabbit without the full innards, then you need to make sure they are still getting at least 1 meal each a week of heart and organ. TWO IMPORTANT ITEMS: 1) How are you feeling with balancing things? Bones, ORGANS, HEART, Meat, Variety...
2) Please post a current menu based on the foods you are currently feeding.
