My guys have never played in the bathtub before. I thought it would be a nice change (plus a chance for the April contest pictures) to give them a chance to swim. Poor things. All I got was a look that said "Why am I in here? Please let me out". None of them last more than a couple of minutes before they started trying to jump out. Gonna have to try swimming a different way. Please let me out! She kinda looks like she's saying "what am I supposed to do in here?"

LOL too funny. My older two were like that in a tub of water. Neka loves it and dives in the dogs water bowl everytime he walks by it!
I started them in a dry tub and turned the water on slowly with plug out, they liked that water, even as the tub filled up a bit more. Not soo many sad faces now... but water must be really shallow lol

Very funny! Some weasels are naturally more water-happy than others ;D

A couple of things....I found that my guys prefer really warm water...bathtub warm for say you or I (well maybe not me as I love to look like a lobster coming out ) The other might be to start with less water. I find that ferrets like playing in water if they think it's their idea. Outside they have a swimming pool with barely any water in it but they get to play and paddle around in it In the house, I set up a large cat litter box, put down a large comforter (that water has to go somewhere ) and a whole bunch of towels and let them play Ferrets like to play in water when they think it's their idea and they can come and go. They can't do this in the tub or at least most cannot, especially once there is water in there and it gets slippery. If you bathe your guys in the tub they also will associate being lathered and covered in icky soap with being in the tub. ciao

I've got a large underbed container that we filled with snow in the winter so they would play. Maybe I'll try filling it with water in their playroom tonight and see what happens. I've done it before but they generally just ignored it. Worth another try.
I also have a fountain that my youngest likes to use a shower. I've been trying for months to get a picture and haven't managed yet.

Everything that Heather said -- ours like the tub, too, but we only fill the "deep" end with warm water and have a bath mat on the side so that they can get in and out on their own -- and then lots of fluffy towels on the floor to dry off in and play with!

My favourite is putting some 'tone, oil, or what ever they like in the bottom of bottle caps, and floating those on the water ;D It's hilarious the lengths they'll go to to get at them! That is the bottom of one of the smaller superpet cages that came with Sinnead.

Ya think? ;D Vincent finally just waded in, got it, and left. I didn't get the video of Boris doing the same thing ;D He climbed in one end, got the tone, and left out the other
