Actually the ferret Therese is talking about does have Juvenile Lymphoma. The owners name is Sandra and her ferret Meeko was diagnosed with juvenile lymphoma quite a while ago... Like almost 2 years now I believe. Meeko was not even a year old at the time. She has been on prednisolone ever since, as well as raw. Now, for her, the cancer was found in her intestines, not her lymph nodes, so this could be why. But as far as I know, she is still alive and well. But this is unfortunately the exception, not the rule. I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this One thing to remember with this case (I think this is the same one)They were able to totally remove the cancerous cells. I believe they were doing surgery to do something else (blockage I think...it would be logical)and found the cancer at that time. They removed it and even though the diagnosis was JL, the cancer was at the time totally encapsulated. I'm so sorry that you've discovered that this was indeed this. I've lit a healing candle. Good luck to both of you ciao

You're correct on that Heather. And Meeko is still going strong by the way I spoke with her owner via pm just a short time ago

That's right Heather, I forgot about that fact. I actually sent her a message after this and Meeko is doing well still

Meeko!!! that is exactly who I meant and although I only wrote lymphoma I was thinking she had JL cause I knew she was young when diagnosed. Didn't know why her story had a happier result but figured that it meant that maybe sometimes it isn't an immediate death sentence.
PS Glad she is still doing well
