I find that organs are the hardest thing to get ferrets to eat.
Chicken liver is ok, but anything else is like a kid and vegetables.
Alice and Nei both hate Beef Kidneys, they'd rather starve a day than to eat it. Any of you found what is a common organ that ferrets seem to always go for?
Also, I notice that they don't care so much for duck either (sigh). Rabbit is ok to them, they'll eat it if they are hungry. It seems that Turkey, Chicken, and Beef are their favs.

My ferrets do not like organs either--have to make soupies and finger feed the two youngest, but senior will lap up the soupie on her own (lamb). oh yea, it can not be cold. .

My store has quit selling rabbits. Got one at farmer's market, and it was sticky feeling after defrosting it.
Anybody know why this would be?
Thought it might be old or something.

So, River's still on soupies. It's been less than a week but I just had to share how much she's starting to love it. She didn't even bother getting out of bed to enjoy breakfast.

They don't like beef organs at all. They love duck hearts and gizzards which are a muscle meat but if I find some duck organs, I plan on trying them.
