Hi Rory and welcome to your partner too. There will be no ill will played here. I've had many friends who are gay (it's a lot more common than many think ). In fact one of my best friends in high school was gay. I hope he eventually found himself a loving mate, when I was in school it wasn't exactly socially acceptable and certainly not something people spoke about. I'm one of the old ladies on the forum, so it would give you an idea as to how difficult it was for him. I'm happy that you've found yourself a lifemate who shares your love of the wee fuzzy ones. I'm glad that you've managed to convince him that feeding raw is the best for your little ones. It can be difficult for some but it's really worth it. ciao

First, I have to say I love your name my cousin just had a baby this year and they named him Rory...his last name is lyons so it's meant to be a bit of a play on words I suppose. Anyway, welcome to the group! (I know you've been here for a few weeks now, but I never got the chance to welcome you) I believe I saw that your mentor is Rinrose? She was my mentor as well and was very helpful Im really glad you feel comfortable enough with everyone to share these details with us I have many gay friends and live in an area that is very open to sexuality, so you won't see any judgement at all from me, and I know everyone here is kind and open minded enough to feel the same. Congrats on 5 years with your boyfriend! I hope you two have many many more years together, as well as with your ferrets.

Nice to meet you "in person." You and your SO make a very cute couple. Your fuzz are adorable as well. You guys will be so happy when they start to show the benefits of their new diet! Hang in there with Kyle as well, he will come around! (dance)

If you think people might get the wrong impression about my last post let me know and I'll delete it. If Travis reads it and doesn't want it up there I'll also delete it too.

It might help if you let him know that missing the litter box isn't that uncommon. It sure can be frustrating when they do, I just try to look at it from the perspective that I EXPECT them to miss and then when they hit it I celebrate. LOL I have two Rascal and Rowdy, (obviously) and Rascal is a bit Waardy I think, he goes pretty much wherever he is at the time. Rowdy is a neat freak and rarely ever misses the box. Rowdy sometimes seems more put out with Rascal's accidents than I am. LOL. Anyway it doesn't make your partner sound mean or cruel to me, just frustrated. It might scare the fuzzfuzz when it happens though.

Hi Rory- nice to meet both you AND Travis As for the yelling bit, I'm surprised Charlie runs. Most would simply ignore it . And Rascal is right. Litter box accuracy out of cage can be anywhere from perfect to completely non existent. I've got both ends of the spectrum I have, however, found some will do better with potty papers out of cage than actual litter boxes.

I'm afraid litterbox accuracy outside the cage is often at best hit and miss. It's much easier to praise the hits than scream about the misses. I often joke that I own 3/4 of the shares in paper towels ciao

Haha! For me it's baby wipes! If I ever see someone using the box they get lots of praise but it falls onto deaf ears. The babies don't like being watched at all. They will fake poop with belly motions and all so that they can run away and do it somewhere in privacy.

Isn't it annoying yet endearing at the same time? lol And thanks everyone! I got him to read your comments and I think he's understanding better that we're lucky to have them use the boxes as much as they do. He has promised to try and not yell at the wee ones and to give Charlie extra love
