Oh, sorry! Forgot that. I use grizzly salmon oil, marine fish oil, and extra virgin olive oil. I mix the olive oil with one of the others. 1/2 tsp every third day of the mix. Pumpkin I try to give 1/2 tsp a day per ferret Thanks....... Should I mix equal parts of the salmon oil, Marine fish oil and the EVOO? you wouldn't by chance have a brand name for the marine fish oil?

Honestly- it was the store brand . Yes, you can mix all together if you like However if they've not had it you may have to mix it half and half with the ferretone to start.

Today I took there food out when I got up and about two hours later I gave them the plate of food...... both plates had 3 cubes a piece.... My Pixie Girl ate ALL 3 CUBES .... Piggy..... lol..... Gus and Waffle just kinda ate the other plate with some left over and Pixie ate the rest.... LMAO....... they played and then slept and I go 6 more cubes out.... This time pixie didn't eat as much.... Gus ate some... but Waffle ate 1/2 a plate ...... I made up a double batch this evening and used a little less water this time so it is a little firmer......Should I be feeding separately or is it ok that they eat together......
I do have a question to ask.... I notice they have very dark small poo poo's with a little run to them and there is more pee than usual ....... Definitely not like they are normally..... Should I be concerned?

First- congratulations!!!! Just keep filling them up on the soup and they'll stop eating the kibble on their own Second- they are going to pee. A LOT! It's like if you only drank two glasses of water a day, then one day suddenly started drinking 10 or more. It's going to take a while for their bodies to adapt to finally being properly hydrated. And they will always pee more than a kibble fed ferret. As for the stools, they are making use of virtually EVERYTHING going into their bodies on raw- so there is very little waste material to pass through. So small stools are very normal Stools will also be "wetter", since there is no real bulk in this diet. Also, transitioning any diet can and does cause runny stools. If they get much beyond "wet", then add about a tsp of pumpkin between the three of them And yes, they can eat together if you are watching for all of them to eat enough

Since they HAVE taken to it so well, thickening it up a bit is a good idea. Do this every couple of days until the soup is about the consistency of wet ground meat. You can actually add ground chicken to it as well to start adding texture if they take to the thicker soup.

I live in a very large city so am able to get all my heart now at a local raw feeding pet boutique. I had previously spoken to the meat manager at a local grocery store and he was able to order cases of chicken hearts for me(10lbs). That's excellent that they are doing so well! Since you can't get ground, guess it's time to dust off the chef's knife and start making slivers!!! Tiny pieces no larger than the crescent on your pinkie nail Start with just two or three in their purée and as they eat those, increase the amount until 1/2 slivers and 1/2 soup

Also, I went looking for Marine fish oil and could not find anything that said "Marine Fish Oil"...... Can you elaborate on this..... is it ANY fish oil? or a specific brand.....

For now get some taurine capsules From what I've been told New Chapter is a good one. One 500mg capsule per ferret per day. If you are using eggshell that's fine for now. We'll get them chomping bones before long Since they are taking soup with slivers so well, start increasing them daily until 1/2 and 1/2. Once there start increasing the size of a few the slivers.

One butcher is going to try and order chicken hearts and let me know.... But he said he for Sure can get turkey hearts.... Can they be used?

Yes, any heart can be used I use turkey hearts normally since I can get those by the case That's great News ..... I have ordered a case and can drive to another town to pick them up..... In the mean time...... I am using ground turkey to give it the chunks and I hope it is alright to give them there soup without the heart.... They do have there kibble overnight......
Also, I was de-boning thighs for their soup and was wondering if I should save the bones for them to chew on later when they are at that stage? or is that the wrong kind of bone?........ What about chicken necks.... can I grind it up and use it in the soup mixture?

Yes, it's fine to leave the heart out for a while yet You can save the thigh bones if you want, but will have to add some meat chunks for a meal. Better bet might be to crack them open, simmer them for a while, and make a broth and freeze it It's good for about a year in a deep freeze, and comes in handy with sick ferrets. And you can certainly grind up some necks if you like. Until they are used to more texture they will likely spit them back out though
