So... I am usually pretty good about not going into CL Pets because I would be giving my husband grief trying to save EVERYTHING if I let myself look at it. But I still check Craigslist's "Free" section to look for things we might be able to use or repurpose. Lo and behold, this beautiful free ferret. Of course I HAD to look at her. (headwall) My husband is fine with contacting and picking her up if I can find someone interested in adopting her. I already am swamped with vet bills for Teddy and my cat, and I also would have to worry about ADV before bringing another ferret in too. Thanks for reading and please get back to me if you have interest. ETA Her ad was flagged off as miscategorized but I found her again with a search, with more pics: portland.craigslist.org/clk/for/3805727244.html Please let me know if you are interested and I will send out a message to them.

Sorry for the double-post, but I just wanted people to see the new ad since the last one was flagged off, it is directly above with more pictures.

Yes, she is! Btw, I'm in Vancouver, WA (a few minutes from Portland) and Battle Ground is very close for us. We could help transport somewhat, for anyone interested. I am just hoping we can get her to a good home. I do not imagine she will last long on Craigslist. Seeing the pic of her allowed to roam loose in a park here is so worrisome. I wish I could take her so badly.

Take her in, then rehome her. Good luck.

Tunda, cannot take her in without having a home lined up. It would be too difficult with worrying about ADV and the vet bills.

Do you have a shelter anywhere near you? As much as I don't like the idea of overburdening shelters, this might be the lesser of evils.

I should not comment on one shelter, that is just NOT an option! There is a network near me, and I had my e-mail all set to send when I saw the author of the post deleted it. Probably someone picked up the ferret tonight or they have someone. I will check back though and e-mail Cascade Ferret Network if she comes up again later. I have offered to foster for them before as their website says they need them, but they were not interested and appeared to have plenty or something. (This was before I got Teddy.) CFN is not accepting ferrets anymore, their website now states. So frustrating.

D*mn! I was really hoping a shelter might be a viable option. Fingers crossed she went to a good home

I live in Central Oregon. Wish I had a way to get the ferret because I would but sadly have no car.

The network near me is not so much a shelter but was definitely the best option if it came to that - but I doubt they would have said yes to me fostering her for them anyway. I cannot find her anymore so this is just so sad. I have never wanted to be wealthy but it is times like these that make me wish I was just so I could take animals like this in. Silverspirit, looks like somebody got her. If you are ever interested in the future and I see one pop up in the same place (not trying to seek them out) we should keep in touch. Perhaps DH would be okay with driving to you should something like this happen again.

Hey that is fine with me. I hate seeing ferrets for lack of a better word tossed aside, its so sad. I wouldn't give up my little Miss Zero no matter what happened.
