I wish I had more money, I would feed all 4 of my animals (3 Weasels and a cat) raw. That way it wouldn't really matter if the weasels got into the cat bowl when I forget to pick it up. It would all be mice and baby chicks, and the like.

Kudos to you for doing the research first! Haha I jumped right on in with only basic research, and kibble-fed for about 6 months before I found this site. We just adopted a cat from a rescue- he's very slowly making the transition to raw (still figuring out what to do with bones haha), but there's already been such a difference in his coat and energy levels. :-)

Next year (because we simply don't have $175 this month until after Wednesday but meh), we're getting a CSA thing. It's like super farm fresh raw meats and dairy and eggs and such. Whole animal (gutted, aside from heart/liver/kidney which they give you in a separate container if you want them) like chicken and guinea hens, bone in lamb and pheasant, etc. If I get my fuzzies within the next few months (which I should be), then by this time next year, they should be fully converted to raw and the CSA would take a huge chunk out of the amount of money that we'd be spending from Hare Today, as the local butcher only does beef and chicken, other than really expensive fish and occasionally lamb... Sure, it's three proteins, but I don't wanna feed that all the time, you know?
It's 175 flat-- that's it. It lasts a year, and you get a delivery at the beginning of every month.
And thank you, Tiffer! I jumped into guinea pigs with only basic research, and they weren't exactly what I was looking for... guinea pigs don't play with you, lol, at all. But they've been recently rehomed to an amazing family who we still keep in touch with.
Oh, if I were to make the hanging bed cube things... What do I use to keep the bottom secure? People say 'plastic' but that's not really specific?
