I know that is a very bad word around here, and I very much have been trying to introduce Jinx to meats both raw and cooked but it's going slow as she thinks I'm trying to poison her. In the mean time, I had switched her from the kibble her previous mom had her on and got her EVO ferret food. I was looking over this list: moredooks.herobo.com/search.php?chart=ferretAnd I noticed that the food I feed my one cat is the third one on the list. The GO! Chicken, Turkey, Duck. I dont feed much kibble to my cats, they are on about 80% wet food, but I do keep kibble around in case we are going out of town for the night or to give them some exercise I will throw it around and they will chase the kibbles. So my question is, while Jinx is still getting some kibble as I try and get her to eat more meat, should I be perhaps switching between the EVO and the GO! ? Just to give her some variety? Or does that really not make any difference.

*when* I fed kibble, I always fed a mixture of 3 or 4 different brands. Not only does it ensure a variety of proteins and such but it always covers your back in case one of them changes ingredients or is discontinued. I think adding Go! would be a good idea. Also, check out Orijen - the mixture of those three is likely the best you can do while you work on the switch.

Agreed - feed a variety to avoid imprinting and refusal to eat if one isn't available. Evo gave my kids runny stools - just a heads up. If you would like some help with the switch, you can sign up for a mentor! Another option you could try is freeze dried raw like Stella and chewys. Most ferrets love the stuff

petcurean Go! chicken turkey & duck formula is great. also orijen grain free is very good. i think EVO (although purchased by procter & gamble recently) is so far still the best as far as ingredients list. i am sure they will be cheapening the product soon. wellness core is also good but really fishy and alot of ferrets (and cats) won't eat it. my mother's cats won't eat it. serengheti cat by timberwolf organics is pricey but also decent kibble.
