Everything has lined up, my day to visit the Texas Ferret Lover's Rescue is schedualed. I have been plotting for months and this Thursday I am going! I am so excited and nervous. I think this will actually be the first time I have had the opportunity to be chosen; every ferret over the years has been one of those, nobody's wants to care for "it" anymore instances. I can say that I have loved them all, and with some work they all got along. My poor sweet Squirrelly took 7 months to integrate, not because my other ladies and gents didn't like her, but because she had been single so long. I hope Pan likes whoever comes home with me, we have been alone for awhile now. But to see someone his size, who might want to play with him If someone calls in at work and ruins my plans, I will probably be forced to hurt them. ;D Tomorrow me and Pan (and whoever I can wrestle) are cleaning the playroom aka the living room, and re-ferret-proofing. Pan is not quite as determined as many ferrets about getting into things, so some rearranging is probably required. Plus, some three-legged fool (Chickie our deathly afraid of thunder dog) did a number on some of the dig boxes. Uggghhh, so excited!

Can you take Pan with you so you can both be chosen? That's so cool!

Pan has not had vaccinations in quite some time; I worry about over-vaccination and vaccinating oldsters. Plus, if my little heart is feeling near heart-attack pains of excitement, him in a rescue with 25+ ferrets? ;D I have also discovered in our recent vet trips, while Pan has always been well-behaved at home, in the carrier? Not so much I thought he was gonna hurt his little teeth with cage-rage this last trip. I tried to explain what I terrible idea him loose in the car with me trying to drive was ;D

I admit i was bad..... I adopted 4! I got Zander and Crystal, and Ethel and Lucy. Pictures as soon as I get them taken. I think I chose well. My mom and brother came with me, my poor husband missed out since he had to work. Mom seemed quite taken with Zander and Crystal, I liked them but not as much as some of the others but they both seemed very gentle. I am happy to report they are also very patient because Pan developed adrenal after the rest of the business passed, I did not see this behavior. I think he is showing "interest" in the girls, who are ignoring him. When his meds have taken a good hold that should curtail this sudden onset of hobness, right?

I had my eye on 2 or 3 more but, I, luckily, managed to make it out with just 4. I'm not sure my family would have let me back in the house with a crate of 7 new weasels. ;D It is very exciting. Ethel appears to be deaf, not very surprising with the white blaze down her face. Maybe tomorrow I will have time to load pictures!
