So doesn't look like they ate any of what I left them. They got kibble this morning, since they didn't eat any soup. I will keep trying, and when they're eating what I give them at night, I'll start giving them more in the morning. By then there should be chunks I'm hoping. So far they've been quick to adjust.

No worries, sometimes it takes a while for them to catch on to eating soup all the time. That sounds like a perfect plan to me, so just keep me updated

Yes. I weighed them last night, Gizmo is still the same, 1100 grams. Trixie has gone down a bit to 820. The meat in soup hasn't been going so well, they aren't eating it at night, or atleast not much of it. Same with just soup. So I started feeding them soup and raw chunks seperate at play time, and they've been eating chunks better. They still eat kibble in their cage, until I know their comfortable eating sufficient chunks of meat. No more weird poops, hardly any actually. My current fosters will be going soon, then I can start leaving their food out during playtimes so they can eat like they're suppose to. So I'm going to go that way for a bit, I've been using a bit of tone on the meat plate to get them to take chunks. They love the skin though. Maybe I'll try feeding more fatty pieces for now and start with the higher protein parts in a bit once they start eating chunks better. Other than that they're great, their beefed up and got nice fluffy coats, trixie doesn't look like a drowned rat, partially due to winter coats but I'm sure the raw they have been eating has helped. She loves her soup and eats most of it.

Weights do go up and down so I wouldn't worry too much about that. That sounds like a good plan to me. You can always make the chunks smaller if they are still having trouble with them. Sometimes it's best to start out with the chunks the size of a fingernail crescent (so super tiny and skinny) and very slowly increase from there. And definitely keep the kibble available until they are eating the raw more consistently. We don't want them starving. Let me know when you are able to keep the soup out more during the day I think that will help things along.

How are they doing with the soup and chunks?

Well last night was weird actually, they really wouldn't eat much. They didn't even really touch the soup, the cat ate it on them twice, so I tried chunks, and they only ate a bit of it. So I gave them kibble at bed time and will try again tonight. Not sure what the deal was, they seemed fine other wise.

Sometimes ferrets just have off days, where they aren't very hungry for whatever reason. As long as they seem fine otherwise I wouldn't worry too much.
Let me know if they eat their raw tonight though.

They didn't really touch it again tonight, but I didn't get to spend much time with them. Boyfriend is sick so he's not allowed near them, and I had to do christmas shopping . I think it might have been a little to old for their liking, not bad since the cat still kept eating it on them, but it was some soup I had left out from the last batch I made. They're always been getting freshly thawed soup, so maybe that's the problem. I pulled fresh for them to have tonight. If that doesn't help, I'll start to get a little concerened. But nothing seems off besides that right now. Still eating some kibble.

Hmmm well hopefully they are just being picky. As long as they are eating some kibble still, we know they aren't starving to death. Do they seem sick at all otherwise? Sneezing, runny eyes/noses? I'm just wondering if maybe they have a milder version of what your boyfriend has and it's reducing their appetite a bit.
Let me know how they take to the fresh stuff. Try putting extra oil on top and hand feeding them it to get them started. Give them smaller than normal chunks too. We'll see if that helps as well.

No stuffiness, as soon as he started to feel sick he stayed away from their room and play area. They can be quite fussy. I'm sure that's all it is.

Okay good. I wouldn't worry then. Fussiness is pretty normal when switching to raw anyways.
Let me know how the fresh soup goes.

So it seems it was just being fussy. They ate up most of their soup, and some raw chunks before the kitten snatched it again. So I can forsee feeding them raw in their cage will be difficult. Going to try putting soup in their cage with them during the day this weekend, see if that goes better than at night.

That is good news. It is possible they were "holding out" for the kibble overnight, so I think trying the soup in cage during the day this weekend is a good plan. What you can also do is remove the kibble completely for 2 hours before offering them the soup. This makes them hungrier so they'll be more willing to eat the soup. Let me know how that goes. We can slowly work them up to having it in their cage overnight. They're just being stubborn little monkeys at the moment totally normal during the raw switch though
