I am going to say the same thing. That is insulinoma, get her to the vet right away. That icky picture at the bottom is that her vulva? I had a ferret named Ginger who I rescued. She had the same icky looking thing and it turned out to be cutaneous lymphoma(skin cancer). I hope that is not what it is, but just something that came to my mind when I seen the picture.

OMG i just watched the video! that is insulinoma! my ferret used to fall to the side like that. he'd walk and stumble/stagger around like he was drunk. the poor thing! i'm sorry to tell you but it is most likely the kibble that caused it in the first place. insulinoma will make them not want to eat and drop weight, develop stomach ulcers. i'd take her to the vet for meds as soon as possible. they usually improve on prednisone (pediapred). very important that she has food 24/7 and give her high fat and high protein food.

she took him to a family vet from what i understand, i dont know that he specialized in ferrets or knows anything about them. i gave her the information thanks, hun. At least she'll have the info in case. Keeping options open is always a good idea.

I love my vet in Richmond. she really does seem to know what she's doing. And, she's the one that made me a raw diet print out. So, if you ever have an emergency, definitely give her a call.

nephthyr popped into Skype today and shared the news with us. Since she hasn't popped in here yet I will pass this along for those of you who have been waiting for news. I am sorry to say that Panda did not make it. Hopefully nephthyr will be on later and she can explain more.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I wanted to chime in, and say... When I came home from work and Murtagh was acting like that (in the video), I *KNEW* it was insulinoma. He crashed really hard, and really fast after that... and I got him into the ferret vet as soon as I could, but it was not insulinoma, and it (too) was too late ((((((((hugs)))))))))
