Soooo cute. At least the previous people got her vet care. I love the name you chose and it's nice to see pics of her after hearing so much about her. Can't wait to see more.

I got Aveline into the vet today - no bugs, but she does have a pretty large lump on her abdomen that I didn't notice before. I should find out the results of the tests they did on her next week.

Oh no! Poor baby - fingers crossed it's nothing serious. What does the vet think it is?

Because of the way it looks and feels, he thinks it's just a fat deposit, which are usually benign.. but I asked for tests anyway.. better safe than sorry!

What a good ferret momma What tests did he do?

He drew some blood and did a biopsy. I was prepared to have to leave her there but I guess it went really quickly. I don't know much about biopsies so I don't know how they are done (I didn't get to see them do it).

Best wishes for the little one!
And a biopsy? It's just a small tissue sample from a suspect location.

Fingers crossed! And yes, a biopsy is simply a quick removal of some of the tissue involved. If it's anything, the examination of it will let you know. Most ferret vet's seem to have a second sense about if something is a problem, or benign, so here's hoping!!!

Well, Aveline has since been given a fully clean bill of health. I've let her mingle with my other 2 babies and she hit it off immediately with Trinity. They play, wrestle, eat, cuddle and sleep together. Two regular little peas in a pod. ;D She doesn't seem to be too fond of Dexter and typically runs for the hills when she sees him. He plays very rough with her, but never seems to intend to want to hurt her, so as tough as it is.. I try to just let them duke it out. She's really come out of her shell these last 3 or so days, becoming super playful, dooking and dancing everywhere. I just can't get over how big of a sweetheart she is. How anyone could give her up is entirely beyond me!! Trinity on the left, Aveline on the right I actually have no idea how this toy got into their cage, it belongs to the dog and is SUPER heavy She likes to hang out by me.. and sleep on the floor next to my computer chair, lol All 3 curled up together.. awww
