I"m inclined to agree with Sherry upon reading this. I think you will see her stools firm up once she gets her calcium needs met. Ferrets are a lazy chew so their tendency to eat the easier stuff and leave the bone . Pumpkin will also help firm up the stools ciao

I will also grind up some white egg shells I have to sprinkle over her meat for tomorrow.

if your having problems with the egg shells simply double bag ( in two strong plastic bags ) then roll with a rolling pin over and over shaking and rolling and you will end up with a light dust or you can use cuttle fish bone ( you can buy this from pet stores in the bird isle its what birds chew on to wear down there beaks ) simply snap pieces off and grid to dust in pestle and mortar ( pure calcium from fish bone ) hope this helps take care bye for now crazy lady

I never thought about cuttle bone! I may have to try this while Isaac is transitioning... His stools are pretty loose, too. I was just going to stick it out until he learns to eat the bone, too, but my Mom probably has some cuttlebone that I can try... About how much should I try? TIA!
