I gave Alfred his soup after holding off the kibble for a couple of hours. He nearly licked the plate clean. He's up and walking around now much better. Ill keep the kibble in overnight and then try feeding him more soup tomorrow.

He ate soup again this morning, poop continues to look normal. Alfred is back to his exploring. He's not a ferret that plays a lot, mostly spends his time exploring and getting into things. I left the soup out while I went to drop the bf off at work and the soup was gone when I got back.

Was Batman out with Alfred too though? Or are you 100% positive that Alfred at the soup? (Just clarifying). I am really glad he seems to be perking up!

Oh good! I'm glad he ate it all. Make sure that he always has enough so that there is always a little left in the bowl. Will he eat chicken chunks okay still?

There is definitely the possibility of something else going on IMO, I still think it would be wise to take him to the vet as soon as you are able to. How old is he again?

I honestly don't know. The petco we got him from said they found him in a box out front and neither they nor me are very good at determining age but they assumed about a year or two.

Aw poor thing! Well I would say that esp with his age being unknown, insulinoma is a possibility. I would really suggest having a BG test done. You can do it yourself with a home BG monitor. It won't be as accurate (you usually have to take home BG monitors into the vet to calibrate them so you know if they are off at all), but it will give you an idea. Walgreens sells them for pretty cheap I believe. You want to do a fasting BG test, so withhold food for about 3-4 hours, and then test his BG.

Remember, 3-4 hours no food, then test his BG. Then give him food back (and make sure he eats it! lol). Let me know what the reading is?
