Yes completely different species. Just because they are used for research does not make them not different. Just for starters, obligate carnivore and omnivore (meaning missing the ability to draw nutrition from plant matter due to lack of a cepum? versus able to access nutrients in plant matter)

What I SAID is that what you listed is for humans. NOT that ferrets don't have a thyroid etc. But you cannot *automatically* assume because something is harmful for one, it will be harmful for the other. I in no way said iodine wasn't harmful for them. And don't be a smartass.
