Hello guys,i am really frustrated and sad these days cause my IBD ferret have become more lethargic and today i noticed something weird. It looks like his kidneys or spleen are enlarged and i am really worried...I have to call the vet tommorow, why enlarged spleen or kidneys?what are the possible causes of this condition?and how it is treated?i read some articles on the internet but i wanna be more informed cause veterinarians in my area are a bit unexperienced with ferrets.thank you.

Enlarged spleen ? would make sense. I've never seen enlarged kidneys (least not that you can physically see or feel). ciao

It looks like he is enlarged from both sides,i don't know it could also be an enlarged spleen but can this be found with IBD?

Most definitely. The spleen often becomes enlarged from any physical stress or infection ciao

When it is treated does the sleen become back to normal size?i guess it can be the bacterial overgrowth that caused the enlarged spleen.is that possible?

Sometimes. When the cause is an infection or a stressor of some type and the problem is resolved the spleen will return to normal. ciao
