I keep trying to convince my boyfriend that when I graduate from nursing school that we should move to florida housing prices at an all time low! who REALLY wants to live in southern indiana?? its like 100 degrees in the summer with 100% humidity, I can take the heat but not the humidity with it all the time. In the winter your butt deep in snow and indiana isnt too quick to salt/plow the roads. We have no spring or fall anymore!

Still too much snow -- I'm tired of snow, and winter -- I want to move someplace with a real climate, and four seasons, and reasonably priced cigars

Do you still have snow lostdoubloon? We don't have much snow but it's still so cold It's been really gorgeous the last couple of days though. Beautifully sunny and almost warm...it would be much warmer if the wind would just let up. Here's some winter pics of the area around my house And just so no one thinks that all we get is snow I will have to upload some summer type pics, otherwise you'll think all we get here is snow ;D ciao

As far as still having snow goes... This is Wisconsin last week: That's JP modeling with a yardstick... 16 inches in less than 24 hours. His expression pretty much sums up how we all felt about that! Mo is on the porch in the back... he's saying "put down the #%*& phone and come open the #$(% door." Luckily we're back up in the 30s this week and it's slowly starting to disappear again.

Katt, Alaska is truely a beautiful state!--- BUT I have to say, WAAAYYYY more power to ya girl. It is a gorgeous place, I have to say though, it kinda sounds scary. I was watching TV the other night and I forget which chanel it was but they were doing a whole thing on Alaska and I kept thinking, "How the heck does Katt do it?!" There was a guy who was near the city Juneau and he was more than knee deep in snow! He was plowing 'moose roads' so that the Mosse would stay off the roads in the city. I used to vacation in Maine and there are Moose there, certainly not as bold as the Mosse in Alaska but I have seen my fair share and its scary when they walk into the road!! Since they're in the deer family you're brain kind of automatically assumes that they're gentle giants but they are so much more intimidating than I could've ever imagined had I never been up close and personal with one. To me, the scariest part of the show was them walking through the roads! I probably sound rediculous but even if they arent hostile, just being in close proximity will rearange ones opinions! There were guys firing military grade shells into mts to cause controled avalanches that help prevent unexpected ones (I dont know where they were when they were doing it but i have to admit, it made me wonder if you've ever heard them doing it.. or experienced an avalanche for that matter?) I did have to wonder, why are people aloud to use snow mobiles in the mts if they cause avalances? They were talking about how hungry the bears get and how some people in the least populated areas have been practically trapped in their home because bears are trying to get in. I hope you dont have to deal with any of that kinda stuff but like I said more power to you!! If you don't mind my asking, how'd you end up in Alaska, where you born there?

I live at the base of the San Franscisco mountains in Arizona. It gets very cold up here. View from home office during a blizzard... yes, the snow was past the window. Not my photos, but other photos of the area:
