Mis is having an extra funny shed this year. Not lion-cut shed, but funny enough as it is. He lost most of the guard hairs over his right shoulder in one go, and now they're growing back. I hope you can see what I'm talking about in the pics. Pics from a couple of days ago: Pics from today (you can see his short guard hairs growing back): And now, I wanna see your funny sheds! Anyone got any pics?

None of mine have had patchy sheds like that, but I do know they happen ;D They do look odd when that starts happening, don't they!

It did seriously freak me out when I first saw it. I didn't know if something happened to him or if he got into something, but then I looked closer and saw that it was mostly his guard hairs, and the downy fur underneath was still there. Then I realized it's shedding season and that he's losing all that fluffy fur he'd gotten when winter came. He has So. Much. FUR.

A beautiful weasel, that is an odd shed. Keep an eye on him as this is similar to Lady "B"'s shed. I'm not saying it's so, the shed is wild this year. I can't believe the clouds of fur. ciao

I am dreading when Kenai starts to shed! He has SOOO much fur, and it is all super long and thick. Plus I will really miss his huge fluffiness. I want him to stay fat and fluffy for forever!

Absolutely true! Trixie was a big girl up until she was a year old. Then, as if overnight, her coat became very sleek, her fat went away, and she was very toned and lean. I do miss her tubbyness. My newbie Dixie is very "whippetty" in body type so I don't think shell be a fluffy girl (but you never know )

I will be keeping an eye on him, Heather! I know weird shedding patterns might mean something... or might not. Always better to be safer, tho. Mis is shedding sooo much. It's everywhere and when I brush him I end up almost as furry as he is, haha. Ohhh I don't want Mis to lose his fluffyness! ;__; Or his chubbyness. The girls are nowhere near as fluffy or chubby as he is. ): I know exactly how you guys all feel, haha.

Mine shed like that if you blow under their fur you can see their gaurd hairs are actually already growing in before the long fluff hair falls out.
