I bought bach's from Dr Foster and Smith website. www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=1233
I believe it is also on Amazon, there is also bachflower.com (have not used), and nelsonsstore.com (also have not used but I believe it is based in the US).
Just 4 drops in their water, or behind their ears, for probably no more than a week. After the loss of one of my ferrets, I did it about 4 days, waited about 3, did it a couple more days, then didn't need to anymore. They still grieved. It's 6 months later, and one is JUST now starting to get playful again. But it kept the 'shock' from getting too terrible.
So sorry for your loss, but it is good he seemed pretty happy until it was apparently his time. My kiddo had a cough for about 5 months, but nothing else and he was eating, drinking, playing, and using the restroom just fine. Then suddenly he started flat-ferreting one day, did it the next, and then to the vet we went. He had Lymphoma. Kept him 2 more months after that. It can be very sudden unfortunately.
As for waking your ferrets up, try to just watch them breathe. It's better to let them sleep rather than getting naps in between you waking them up (I did this for several months, so don't worry I do understand!).
I got my guy cremated and he came with a cute little box. It helps me a ton to be able to just reach over, pat the box, and say goodnight. Consider getting a stuffed animal or memory box to keep somewhere (or just decorating his grave with flowers and ribbons or a cross, etc).
Glad your other two seem healthy though!
