Thanks, I think they are just lazy at the moment - the bones seem like too much effort ;D

They can be that! If you can get chicken necks, those are ideal for building up jaw strength. If not, chicken wings. Segment, cut the middle two bones in half between them, chop those and the tip in half across then smash the bejeepers out of the large drumette bone.

I wish I could as chicken wings is what they used to eat when they were kits and it was fab for their teeth but unfortunately one of my bino's Zebedee has an intolerance to chicken I am keeping an eye out for turkey necks and wings - not the same but I am hoping they may like. I had read that I may be able to re-introduce chicken wings at some point so in the future, fingers crossed. It is so stressful at the moment, I am constantly having to make sure they are all eating soup and meat. Gizmo in particular insists of trying to "stash" his soup but by the time he gets to his desired spot, it has all ran out of his mouth. I have to hold him and feed him the soup so he is restrained and cannot "stash" it. Also the bino boy's have decided after previously eating rabbit, it isn't for them Hopefully they will change their mind as I was hoping this would form part of my edible bone Stress

If they had it too often it could just be that they got tired of it. If that WAS the case, you can usually reintroduce it after 2-3 weeks.

Or it is too much effort as it has bones in it and the beef, pork etc doesn't. Beef and pork being wolfed down ;D But yes I will give them a break from rabbit for a while

So we started the day with me feeding them all soup on a teaspoon, as much as they would take. I left them with pieces of pork and a bowl of soup when I went out to work at 7.30am. When I got home I went out to them (around 7pm) and it didn't look like they had touched the meat or soup I have this evening got soup into the girls and some small bits of turkey - even minced some for them too. Zebedee has had a little soup and some turkey - not a lot at all and bearing in mind all Zeb has done this winter is eat.... Gizmo has decided the soup is poison and even before the spoon gets to his mouth he is making screwed up faces and makes a break for it. I don't want to force him as from experience with him, this just puts him off completely. I worry about him as he is my suspected IBS boy. He has had a couple of turkey slivers and a little mince, but again, doesn't seem a lot at all. I managed to get Gizmo to have a tsp of soup by mixing a little egg with it, but he only wanted a couple of licks of the raw egg on its own. I'll weigh the turkey I put out with them tonight so I know how much they have eaten - however I won't know how much meat each individual has had. So the girls, I am happy I have got soup into them this evening, but the boys, I am just not happy about the lack of food. Should I be worried? I am at work all day so cannot make sure they are eating throughout the day. Am I right to not give them back their kibble? Also, poo's obviously have been different but today, Gizmo (and possibily Smudge) have had very runny, grey poo's. Gizmo's to the point where he swirted all up the wall with the projection after rushing to the newspaper on a couple of occasions. I came home to some poo's that looked like mushed up, runny kibble if that is a good description.

Have you tried nose dabbing it on Gizmo at all? Sometimes it can take a week or two of dabbing it on their nose to get them to start eating it without acting like it's poisonous.

I managed to get some soupie into him, not as much as the others. I can get him to eat some, my concern is it isn't much and it is only when I hold him still. I worry that they aren't eating while I am at work - which is a good 12 hours. The girls and Zebedee will eat soup out of the bowl IF it is fresh and preferably warmed. Gizmo only eats it if I spoon feed him whilst holding him still. If I was at home all day then I could make sure they had fresh soup and eating throughout the day. Hopefully they are eating the slivers and chunks of meat as well. Thanks for your reply Yurei Avalon, much appreciated. I have put them to bed now so will be up again in 5 1/2 hours to feed them their soup before work. It is difficult not to just give them the kibble back as I worry that I am doing more harm than good. Gizmo is very thin and cannot afford to loose any more weight so him not eating all day worries me most I really do want to crack this though, for their own health.

I feed my fuzzbutts soup before I got to work as per my previous post and leave chunks and slivers of meat for them, but for the second day running, it doesn't look like they have touched any of it while I am at work (7am to 7pm normally) They don't seem to be feeding themselves. I have given the soup when I got home home from work and hand fed some turkey pieces to Gizmo, but I am worried about when I am at work. I am off skiing on Sunday for a week in Andorra so my mum will be looking after them, I a worried that they are not eating enough. Thoughts? Much appreciated

I'm sorry- I was under the impression they were eating enough of the raw willingly, even if hand fed. If they are eating so little they do need to have the kibble at night anyway(or during the day, whichever works for you). New procedure- take kibble out a couple hours before feeding raw. Feed, play, etc then back in cage with RAW. That evening hand feed, play, etc. when they go back in give kibble back for the night. Do this until they are taking raw soup from the dish themselves.

They were feeding themselves, but seem to have stopped That said, they ate their meat last night and have picked on rabbit today - as well as me feeding them soupie. I will put kibble in overnight at the moment, especially while I am holiday and my mum is ferret sitting for the week - I'll worry less while I am away and enjoy the skiing ;D Thanks
