So, I haven't been able to find much information about ferret teething. What little I did find, however, has all pretty much agreed on the fact that ferrets should be done teething by 3-4 months. Trinity is just shy of 4 months old. For some reason, she keeps gnawing on her food dish. I can't tell whether or not she's teething, there's a deeper issue, or she's just strange! She's deaf, so I don't think she's doing it to hear the noise (which is quite obnoxious). I've tried giving her Cheweasels, didn't want them. I've tried baby teething toys, didn't want them. She only gnaws on her food dish, and only while eating. Dexter is only about 2 weeks older than she is, but he's never chewed on anything like this. I tried to make a video of it, but as you can see it's not the best quality. Sorry for the darkness and the shaky camera, I was simultaneously fending off attacks from Dexter..lol Also.. yes, I know, kibble, yuck, ew, whygodwhy, etc.. Trinity had no problems switching to raw, but Dexter is very, very finicky, so I leave the bowl of kibble in there so he doesn't go hungry. He's getting there, just.. very slowly. (apparently my youtube video failed, so here's the tinypic version) tinypic.com/m/eb77nl/2

From what I understand, they can keep teething til they are about 6 months old, so it's possible she's just a "late bloomer".

SoCo wont be four months till 4/12 buut he does this all the time. I would assume teething but I wonder if its maybe a possesive action simply because Kahlua, a little over 3 years old, does this with the bowls of her favorite foods

It seems like it could just be teething. As for the switch to raw, I noticed it helps dramatically with teething babies. Bones and gizzards are great chew things. If you need help, you can sign up for a mentor

Oz, my almighy chewer went through this, and chewing his blankies a lot too before raw. After, he does once in a blue moon, but now he mostly just takes it out on his food. Turkey/chicken necks are great for tearing into.
