Not a problem....I have had success with melatonin...it never lasts long but sometimes it's just enough (like Odin today) to confirm enough that a DES implant was used. At 10 yrs of age, it's hard to say what will happen. I can only hope. I hope you follow your dream to be an exotic vet. I talked to my vet about it. It's extensive, up here it's another 3/4 yrs on top of your vetting degree. ciao

There is something so beautiful about a ferret chewing up meat and it hanging from the side of the mouth. ;D

So i think i might have them all figured out!! It's time consuming but they eat in small intervals still.. i have started putting extra small chucks ( bigger than slivers though) in their bowl and in small amounts. They are eating it with no problem!! I have to feed them quite often though.. if there is a lot of meat in the bowl for some reason they just pick at it and it goes bad.. luna will eat it long after its unthawed.. ash will only eat it if it still cool or warmish.. after 3 hours he usually will not touch it.

I know that this is frustrating, but what they're doing is right for what they are. Ferrets like cats are designed to eat smallish meals. Dogs gorge themselves and can go days without eating. Cats and ferrets cannot. One thing you will also note is that as they start eating more meaty chunks, they will appear to consume less. That's when you really have to keep an eye on your weights. Have you any idea how much meat they're consuming? ciao

That's fantastic, so they're no longer eating soupies? Just chunks or slivers? ciao

Ooook, that is fantastic . Now, we got for slightly bigger but only a couple, keep most of the meat sizes the same as they're eating. We want to move them up to some small boned meats, soon. Do you have a really good knife or meat scissors? The reason why I ask, is we need to cut up some light bones but first we need to get them to eat larger sizes of meat . ciao

Offer them some more of the bigger pieces until you've got mostly the next size pieces then do the size increase again. What proteins have you offered? ciao

What other proteins do you hope to introduce? What meats do you plan to use for your bone in meats? ciao
