You must have a minimum of 15 posts on the forum before being considered for the mentoring program. We've had far too many who come on, fill out the app, then simply disappear. Others are waiting for these slots. If you have filled out the application, but haven't bothered with the above, I will wait two weeks, then your application will be moved to the vault. If you want it retrieved from there and reconsidered, message me privately AFTER the required number of posts have been achieved. At that point your app. will be put back into the waiting list, but at the bottom.

I understand the reasoning for a 15 minimum post, but I don't want to just post questions for the sake of getting 15 and junk up the forums unnecessarily. I have done my research and read the forums and I am determined this is what I want to do with my ferrets, so does this mean I have to wait until I come up with 15 questions that I really have or do replies to posts count? Should I wait until after I post my 15 questions or go ahead and put the application in now and hope that I get 15 before my application is reviewed? I just want to be sure I do this right and not get banned before I even get started!

You don't have to post just questions. The reasoning for the 15 post minimum is to make sure the people who get mentors are people who will take this seriously and be active. If you can't think of any questions then you can just look through the active topics and reply to anything you want to. Or you can post an introduction post and tell us about yourself and ferrets to get started.
If you think you can get your 15 posts within two weeks then go ahead and post your application and we'll just wait to assign your mentor until you're at 15.
