I have decided to take up my needle and thread, and try hand-making some toys for my future ferret. They have some very cute colored felts at our local 100 yen store (same thing as $1 store) so I was thinking about using them to make some cute (and safe!) toys. Would felt be a safe fabric for a ferret to chew and play with?
Thank you so much!

Some ferrets like to chew on fabics, so that's the only thing to be careful of

What Jackie says is true, for some funky reason some ferrets have a passion for cloth and sometimes it's a particular type of cloth. Mayhem only ate flannel. I've only had a couple of fuzzes who did this. Yuri is my present brat who eats cloth, actually he eats his stuffies, not his blankies. Make a couple of toys and see what happens. Make sure that you don't leave them with the toys alone to begin with and check the toy frequently. If nothing happens to the toys then you're in the clear. I've got a couple of guys who love stashing their toys and their stuffies. There is no rhyme or reason for their little passions, it's all trial and error. Good luck ciao
