Ok i just realized that im out of wood stove pellets soon!! I don't think i will be able to get any topup so soon until this weekend. Hubby has a kitten and he uses Feline Fresh Pine Cat Litter. Well it looks very much like my wood stove pellets. Can i use it for my little ones? This is the one he has at home right now Ours is the green one.. Not too sure about the Pine tho

I can't see why not,as long as it doesn't have any chemicals etc added to it.

Is it dusty? I feel like I read somewhere that pine can cause respiratory problems, I'll have to double check.

I had to use it once for the same reason, I was out and it's what my mom uses for cat litter. He didn't seem to like it or wanna use it at all. I think it's only dusty if you use whats at the bottom?

From what I've read ,with pellets there is no problem. Shavings would not be good to use. I regularly use SPF (spruce, pine, fir) woodstove pellets and have had no issues. If a person was concerned about it,I wouldn't think using the feline pellets for a few days would cause any problems.

I have been using Feline Pine (different from what you posted) at Shane's house. I might give it a try at my own house once I run out of SC. I love it. It really is amazing at controlling smell. The two big downers for me at that it's not scoopable (making it significantly less cost effective) and it's not flushable.

Feline pine is fine, both the pellets and the scoopable. It's been heat treated to remove the oils.

How does the scoopable litter do with smell compared to the Pelleted Feline Pine...? Is it flushable?

Flushable no. But odour control is amazing! Problem is it tracks worse than anything else I've seen.

Flushable no. But odour control is amazing! Problem is it tracks worse than anything else I've seen. Yikes! Even worse than SC? :S The tunnel I put on the litter box entrance has made a big difference, but it sure isn't perfect. I hate vacuuming every single day. (Okay well I Don't vacuum every day, but I need to vacuum by the end of every day lol)

It's lighter in texture. Think of styrofoam beads in pillows as compared to bits of the litter in SScoop. They aren't THAT light, but just to give you an idea as to how easily they can track.

After a week on these feline fresh! I must say.. Its darnnn goood! Smell is less now. And especially the fact that Blizzard was going thru the detoxing process, the litter box reeked even worst before this. Now i can enter the house and it still smells Okay! But yeah poopies now has to be tossed out into a garbage bag.. no more flushing for me~ I used to use flushable litter for Sierra and then switched to wood pellets. So i will still have 2 options now.. Wood pellets and this! If i run out i can always steal from hubby's kitty LMAO~
