I hope it's not inappropriate to say this but I think it's wonderful that she was able to pass peacefully on her own, in her own home with those she loves. If only it always worked out that way! I wish her a safe journey to the Bridge and wish you strength as you miss her so much

I'm so sorry for your loss. I was really hoping to hear that she'd pull through and keep fighting. The silver lining behind this though is at least she is happy again where she is now with her sweet Zeus and not grieving for him or in pain anymore.
Rest well little girl and remember to visit your human family sometime.

No offense taken Mike. If it had to happen, this is what we wanted as well. I've been reading about the "bucket" lists people have been making for their wee ones. She hated outside, no foods she really tried to get to, even ice cream. I really tried to think of something for one for Athena, but only came up with ONE thing she really wanted. To be close to, and held by, her papa. That fact filled her bucket list to the brim And she had her heart's dearest desire filled

Dook in peace Athena, I know that you and Zeus are dooking and dancing together oh so very happy to see each-other again at the Bridge... Cliff and Sherry, I am so very sorry that Athena has left you to join Zeus at the Bridge, and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Please find peace in the fact that Athena chose when to go and on her terms and if there is one thing I have observed from this board and your writings is that Athena always did things her way and on her terms...
